Predictions: Janeway, The Doctor, Kira, Quark, O' Brien and if Santa is real, Paramount did indeed back up a dump truck full of money to Avery Brook's house and Sisko shows up.

Somehow Robert Beltran came up on my YT. Wonder if this means a live action connection to Prodigy via a Janeway cameo? (gad, I hate that word. No Karen, little Dylan is not destined to be a rocket surgeon because he followed the order of the visible light spectrum while stuffing crayolas up his nose)

    From the article:

    Go fuck yourself, Terry Matalas.

The TNG crew did get a proper sendoff. It was called "All Good Things..."

Seriously, Matalas should go fuck himself. Just to be sure.

Also, who the fuck is the baddie in this one? Do we have another character that's going to be introduced with a complex history tied to Jean-Luc Picard that we've never heard of before? But somehow we're supposed to care?

    I'm getting a big-time Nemesis vibe here.

Between the TNG finale, the four movies (even if Nemesis was a godawful note to end one) and hijacking the ENT series finale, this crew has had plenty of goodbyes.

The day this franchise can stop licking TNG's taint and move the story forward with new characters so another generation o fans can enjoy Trek on their own terms will be a great day indeed.

I believe he’s talking about the movies. They didn’t get a TUC like ending.

I admit to being a bit of a unicorn among millennial Trek fans because I didn't grow up with TNG and kinda just wandered into the franchise cold turkey with ENT because I was burned out after two straight weeks of 9/11 news, so I don't have the strong nostalgia pull for the show as many others do.

But boy, lemme tell you for all the love bombing the show got back in the day, I nearly gave up trying to get through the first 2 seasons because they SAWKED BALLZ and no one prepared me for just how bad it was. Not even ENT 's second season was that bad.

I get why it's so revered from S3 onward and without it, I wouldn't have my two favorite entries into Trek, but I think we can start to ease off of the pedal just a wee tiny bit IMO.

"I suppose I've always been a little crazy about you, Jean-Luc. Jack was everything to me but you still had a place in my heart. And then we were posted together on the Enterprise and, well, you wanted to keep it professional and I agreed at the time. It seemed the only thing we could do and I know you felt guilty about Jack. But some days it was maddening being so close and not being able to say what was in my heart. So . . . so I did what seemed the next best thing. I started dating Shinzon."

If Crusher does proclaim her love to Picard and they hook up, he's essentialy a real doll now.

God, I mean is anyone here still Team Crusher at this point? They've got to be the only Will They/Won't They ship in all of American television that didn't end with them getting together. I liked it for al of five minutes in 2002 before getting bored of every time Crusher had "something to tell [him]."

I honestly come across a lot more fanfic of Picard railing Q these days than Bevs

I mean, season 2 was all about him getting over his childhood demons so he could hook up with Romulan Chick.
If she's around when Beverly comes sniffing around, it'll be awkward, but if she's NOT around after playing origami with the universe for her, it'll be awkward.

Here's how I'd resolve that theoretical triangle...

Picard- Well, there's only one way to resolve this...THREE WAY SEX!!! :polarslam2:

    (cut to..)

John Lovitz as the fop host of "Tales Of Ribaldry"- Oh, this will not do!! You've spoiled it for me!!! :dendroica:

    (cut to...)

Me- *Waving top hat and cane* Gooood eeeevening friiiiiieeends!!!! :D

it would be a lot more fun if it turned out Picard had a son...

    With Vash.

    And Beverly resents it.

Jesus, people. Stop asking for trouble.

When has Star Trek ever done children properly?

TWOK did a not half-bad job with Kirk's son, but they had to quickly kill him in the next movie in order to ensure they didn't fuck something up going forward.

And maybe Jake Sisko was decent. Maybe. Depends on the time of day.

SO STOP ASKING FOR PICARD TO HAVE A FUCKING KID.

    kthanks bye. :bailey:

To be absolutely clear, I DO NOT want Picard with a brat of his own at his old ass age.

But I don't trust these writers not to go there since they've shat over every other part of his character in the last two seasons, so it's not a wonder that people assume they'll go for a trope that even The Young and the Restless would find beneath it's extremely subpar writing these days.
