Omigawd, yes! That's what was rubbing me the wrong way about Black Adam. He's that kid you play with a 6-8 who says he's got "ultimate forcefield" and you "can't beat him no matter what, so don't even try".
"I was offered Superman years ago – I initially said no because I didn’t have a way in that felt unique and fun and emotional that gave Superman the dignity he deserved." Sweet Jesus, Mr. Gunn. There's a plethora of amazing Superman comic book stories to draw from. I've always wanted to see a live-action All-Star Superman.
Well folks , I saw "SHAZAM! FURY OF THE GODS" Monday night & it wasn't too bad of a flick. It's certainly NO "SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME" , but if you want to go see it in the movie theater , by all means do so. If you don't feel like going to a movie theater to see SHAZAM! , just wait a few months until it's available for home viewing. Speaking of SHAZAM! , I wish some channel would show reruns of the groovy 1970s live action SHAZAM! TV show. I haven't seen that IN YEARS! How is the first SHAZAM! flick ? I've never seen it. I think it was out in 2017?
After seeing some trailers for "THE FLASH" , I CAN'T HELP but think the movie is a rather blatant ripoff copycat of the MCU's "SPIDER-MAN : NO WAY HOME". As I read in one article about it , someone referred to "THE FLASH" movie as really being "BATMAN : NO WAY HOME". Anyway , despite all that I still intend to see "THE FLASH" when it comes out in movie theaters & post my review of it in this here thread.
Other way around, which is very, very often the case with Marvel vs DC. Flashpoint predates No Way Home, written in 2011 and having an animated movie based on it in 2013.
Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman was supposed to be in the Flash movie, but her scene was cut. Ben Affleck leaks it in an interview. https://www.darkhorizons.com/affleck-on-wonder-woman-cameo-in-flash/
Lady Gaga sings on the set of the new Joker movie. https://twitter.com/AMENARTPOP/status/1641492549746724864?s=20
Official Joker 2 pics. They just wrapped filming. So, it looks like this one is Harleys origin from her point of view, and it's all fantasies from inside the asylum.
Blue Beetle trailer looks.... good, actually? Gunn should get ahead of the game and publicly announce that BB is gonna come out of Flashpoint unscathed.
This is going to be another Taika Waititi situation, isn't it? They surprise everyone with one great movie, are rewarded with way too much control next time around and COMPLETELY shit the bed.
Harley Quinn is supposed to be hawt in that "don't put your dick in crazy" kind of way. They've actually made Lady Gaga's Harley Quinn ugly, which is a feat in and of itself. Jeez.
James Gunn says a Marvel DC crossover is possible now that he's in charge, but its many years away. https://www.darkhorizons.com/marvel-dc-crossover-has-been-discussed/
I didn't think Shazam 2 was all that bad. Not great, but not bad either. Definitely better than 3/4 of the shite from the DCU.
The critics are loving The Flash! They're saying it's one of the new all time great superhero movies period. They're comparing it to "Back To The Future" in its feel. They're saying it's the best DCEU/DCU movie sweatlessly, and among the best DC movies of the last 30 years. https://www.darkhorizons.com/the-flash-first-reactions-are-in/
So they’re saying it’s up there with BTF and TDK trilogy. I find that hard to believe, but we’ll see.
I don't see an animated universe thread. Haven't decided if my interest died with Kevin Conroy. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/m...league-warworld-cast-unveiled-1235403121/amp/ Troy Baker as Jonah Hex, though.
Doesn't get bumped a lot, and WF search is like Robocop's broken targeting when it comes to finding it for some reason, but here. http://wordforge.net/index.php?threads/dc-animated-universe.110254/
I mean, the trailer makes it seem like it is far more about being a sequel to Batman '89 than a Flash movie. Which is simultaneously something sad and something I'm here for. Wait till I get a load of it!
James Gunn has the same "you can love both" attitude to Marvel & DC I always did, and he handed in his draft for "Superman Legacy" just before the writer's strike. https://www.darkhorizons.com/gunn-on-marvel-vs-dc-supes-casting/
