Anheuser Busch InBev stock is trending back up again, as stock usually does after investors panic over something dumb. DeSantis really should have tried that tactic earlier. (Not that his base cares about facts.)
Wouldn’t be surprised at all to learn that the folks running those facilities had ties to DeSantis or other FL politicians.
PragerU is a hate crime. If the Klan tried to copy School House Rock, but left out the songs, PragerU is exactly what it would look like.
Part of the video apparently involves Columbus owning a time traveler by saying they can't judge him by the standards of 500 years hence. Good point hey @Lanzman
Is this part where I point out that Columbus was such a racist bastard that even people in his own era thought he was a racist asshole? Because this feels like the part where I need to do that. For fuck's sake, the reports of what he was doing so angered the folks back in Europe that he spent a good chunk of his last years locked up. I mean, if people in the early 1500s send you home in chains because they think you're a goddamned war criminal, you have done some seriously nasty shit. Am I wrong? We were still killing people because we thought that they were witches, so it's not like we were any kind of sterling examples of morality. And if those guys say you've gone too far, I don't think that it matters that plenty of folks call him a racist bastard in the 21st Century. People in his own time said as much.
Counterpoint, people in the past were all apparently so stupid and fundamentally immoral that even having other people telling them "yo dude that's fucked up wtf" isn't enough for them to have any way of realizing that what they are doing is fucked up.
"...which teaches kids that slavery was better than the alternative. " Isn't the alternative to slavery just...not slavery?
I saw a Prager U posting some years back responding to a question about whether the Civil War was about slavery or "state's right". The expert they had answer the question was a former U.S. Army General Officer and former instructor who in the clearest possible terms explained why the Civil War was in fact caused by slavery. It was a clear, no-nonsense presentation, that I'd love to find and tie to the post above...
Someone needs to ask those fuckers if they've ever heard the term "Give me liberty or give me death!"...
DeSantis’ team was involved in a fender bender, and the patrol officer on scene was upset that they didn’t get a ticket. https://twitter.com/thetnholler/status/1688365154784759809?s=46&t=iYW3foyqIA6Tn8VWwn3nwQ
Sure, they’re on Threads and a few other social platforms. But until it’s easier to access those sites for most people, or I have time to dig around on actual news sites, you get what you get.
So you say you want us to fund andrew tate. All you have to do is asdmit you like funding elon's right weing friends. One other question. Why should we click on your nefarious links when we don't click on Federal Farmers? They support the same people with money, so shouldn't we treat you the same way we treat him for using shit propaganda sources?
When I went on about CRT being taught in schools I was asked to produce the text books. I'm asking the same thing I was asked for.
part of it was posted not too long ago! and Texas is doing the same thing. The difference is, I know what CRT is and you do not. CRT is a legal process. It's not a subject to be taught in schools. and certainly not for small children most of whom will not grow up to be lawyers. You keep asking why I give UA the benefit of doubt, but not you. the reason is that I know he is smart enough to know what CRT is. I do not believe you have the same intellectual capacity.
