Naw, it is just that all the other taxpayers get to tell you that they think you are a drooling idiot. Which is what several of us have done.
Which you are proving perfectly given that facts and reality just bounce right off of you and you just ignore them.
It's a shame seeing those assholes take your hard earned taxpayer dollars and use them to buy expensive electronics, and nice cars, so they can lounge around all day while you work to support them.
Naw, I just know you well enough to know you wouldn't have ran away with your tail between you legs like a little bitch unless the comments were at least close to home. So now I am guessing your still as lazy, whiny, and yet unresolved to actually do anything if it actually costs you any time and effort as you were 24 hours ago. See how that works?
No one here seems to be buying into your particular flavour of bullshit, except possibly Archangel. And we all know what a winner he is.
You mean while I was out living my life in the real world instead of posting here 24/7? Yeah, that's a real bitch move on my part. Regardless, are you still claiming to know what I have or haven't done on my own in relation to the Syrian refugee crisis? Where are you getting this personal information?
Granted. Would you concede there is a big problem when 80% of them are on welfare, don't want to work, don't even want to learn the national language of the country they are paracites in, not even after four fucking generations of living there?
Rightforge was right about one thing. If it goes against the orthodoxed positions liberals tend to get scared and want to close their eyes and ears. Uncomfortable truths get slow acceptance. It does sink in once they realize they can still be liberals yet not be afraid to stop endorsing bad policies just because they've been the established position for decades. Facts do persuade most of them eventually. Now if only we could get the conservatives back in the fact based world.
Yep, it is official, your defensiveness now combined with your running away yesterday confirms it for me. You have done jack shit about any of it other than post a few wank filled emotionally driven yet poorly thought out posts on the Internet. If I was a betting man that is what I would bet on on Vegas.
Actually, in all honesty, I just used the same justification my uncle often says about people on welfare. Except where I used the word "assholes," he used the word "niggers."
Oh, and while I'm remembering, where I mentioned that they might be agitators. Back in the 1930s, during the Depression, it was common for migrant workers to be referred to as "communist agitators," in an effort to bust up the prospects of unionizing in order to receive fair wages, and fair treatment. Instead, those people were beaten, overworked, some killed if they spoke out, all because they were desperately looking for work. "Okies" (farmers from Oklahoma who were affected by the Dust Bowl), heading for California were turned away from cities and had to sleep outside of towns. Some shops wouldn't accept their money. They were seen as locusts, eating up the resources of every town they visited. Here is some reading if you're interested: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Okie http://www.livinghistoryfarm.org/farminginthe30s/water_06.html Oh, and the word "agitator" is still used today, usually by people like Breitbart, and other ultraconservative organizations. Such words were also used in Ferguson, by police. Make of it what you will, but you should know such casual use and acceptance of the word does not necessarily denote something positive. My point is that I am sure some folks probably had an idea of what I was doing when they saw my posts. The fact is, you were so blinded by zeal, and anger, that you walked right into it. I don't know what's happened to you, but your posts here are bigoted, and xenophobic. You don't consider these people human. That is a dangerous mindset to have.
Personally I think this is all symptomatic of there being way too many people on Earth to begin with; it's a shame a virus won't come through and cull the herd by about 50%.
I mean this in the kindest way possible, but are you volunteering to be in that 50%? Your friends? Your family? This is the internet, so it's possible your answer would be yes, either out of spite, or because you really wouldn't care to be wiped from the face of the earth by a virulent disease culling billions of innocent human lives.
There are way too many of us on this planet. It's unsustainable. Something has to happen sooner or later, and Mother Nature in its wisdom will macgyver something up eventually. The human species is becoming more and more of a parasitic problem than just an overpopulated problem.
Much easier to use the method in a short story I read. Basically an ecoterrorist virus that rendered 90% of women infertile...
I do agree that we're consuming a hell of a lot of resources awfully damned fast, and that it's going to be come a big problem sooner rather than later. I think, however, we can change that behavior, and in some respects already have. That said, we have a long way to go. One of the reasons I support the sciences is because I'm hoping we find a way to curb consumption while still supporting the population. I would also like to see humans expand outward, to the moon, to Mars, and beyond.
I fear we would be like a blight on the galaxy, but who knows if we even get that far? We can't even slow population growth in the here and now while we figure something out ahead. I'm just warning everyone that a massive famine and die-off is coming faster than we could curb/dissipate its effect. I mean, unless they invent food replicators soon, humanity is going to kicked deep in its groin.
I still hold out hope. It should come as no surprise that I'm an optimist. I believe we will find a way to make things work, with minimal loss of life, and maximum survivability. Well, yeah, I could still do that, but that doesn't take into account how she would feel about being infertile. I imagine it would be devastating for most women.
It wasn't a lie, at least not from my end. That's what every news outlet was reporting when I posted. Then it turned out the kids relatives here were lying, or they were misunderstood by the media. There were applications in for other family members, but not for this kids immediate family. That still doesn't change the fact that Canada's accepted a whopping 0.05% of all Syrian refugees so far, while Harper wastes over half a billion dollars on a more or less symbolic contribution to bombing ISIS. Meanwhile, the Conservatives are cutting off health care for refugee claimants while telling voters how much they care. It's sickening to me.
With no passports? BTW how do any of these refugees cross borders with no passports these days no matter what form of transportation?
I said that website is run by agitators. I I.E. people with a bone to pick on an issue thus why I said it was some what suspect.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/ukn...gregation-are-about-economics-not-values.html If it matters lowering the amount of benefits so they are not as generous does seem to do some good in convincing muslims to get jobs. In the UK the dole is much less generous than mainland Europe (though still more generous than the US) and they have gotten the numbers down to 1/4 never having held a job of any sort. Regularly employed is about 1/3rd (versus 1/5th in mainland Europe [natives who have never worked are 4% and mostly female]), with the rest periodically employed or part time employed. Still the worst in the nation but better than the mainland muslims manage. Education rates are also improving though remain the worst of any group listed. If you are going to allow anyone in let in Hindus, Sikhs, and NE Asians as they top the charts. Lots of good information there.
I will give @Anna this, Mexicans at least do have a damn good work ethic as part of their culture. I could do without the pervasive breaking of employment laws (working illegally under the table and not paying taxes) but when it comes to working 8-12 hours a day 6 days a week and putting all of their effort in to it... Well, that is some damn fine work ethics there. It is a shame they seem to have a cultural reluctance for higher education as it means generation after generation they stay in low pay labor or service sector jobs but they do work hard.
It is well varifi3d and needs no taking back. They are hard workers and do indeed have a cultural characteristics for not seeking higher education or at least doing so at much lower rates. Namely, in hispanic culture young men are supposed to get jobs and contribute to the families income while staying in school is viewed as some what selfish. How can you be so ignorant of hispanic culture? This is a problem HISPANIC groups have been discussing for decades. Shit, we are now to the point where 14D thinks just talking about reality is racist. You are clueless, man.
So... would @Dinner seriously be happy with Muslim refugees taking jobs away from citizens of their host countries? Because if you don't want them recieving government benefits, that's how they're going to have to suport themselves. And doesn't Dinner want them all gone as soon as possible? I imagine it's going to be harder to convince people to leave once they've into society, worked and paid taxes for several years...
