Nova you watch game of thrones or once upon a time or Dexter? Robert carlyle does a good job of a more modern Rumpelstiltskin
What am I looking forward to: Season 4 of Orphan Black Season 2 of Daredevil (that was an awesome trailer) Season two of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (Females are strong as hell) Maybe fuller house but it looks kinda lame.
I'm looking forward to season 76 of NBC Nightly News, which starts on February 21st. We also get a bonus this season, with 366 instead of the usual 365 episodes!
11.22.63 dropped on Hulu tonight. Really impressed with the first episode. As faithful to the book as you're ever likely to see
Still no start date for Person of Interest, season 5; but CBS has announced that Sarah Shahi will play the lead in the fall pilot "Drew". She will play Nancy Drew, an NYPD detective in her mid-thirties. Also cast, Anthony Edwards (ER), Vanessa Ferlitto (CSI:NY), and Felix Solis (The Good Wife).
leave it to CBS, in one move they ... 1. Recycle a classic character name into a show that has exactly zero relationship to the source material; 2. Blow a hole in the most innovative and ambitions program in their stable; and 3. give us YET ANOTHER police procedural. Whoopty-fucking-do.
And as a follow-up, does one need to have seen the movie to understand it? That's one of those films that I kept meaning to watch, but never actually have....
You don't really, but if you've seen the movie it just makes you more familiar with the characters and the concept. The show is different though. The only character that really resembles their movie counterpart is Jennifer/Jeffery. The movie is one of my favorites though, excellent cast.
Minority Report sucked. I'm glad all my favorite shows are renewed, but I already knew that. The Americans is scheduled for two more seasons. Glad to see ACS is renewed.
We lost Agent Carter, The Grinder and The Muppets. I seem to be the only person on the planet who enjoyed the latter, but I enjoyed it very much indeed.
i believe if you go to their website, you could sign a petition to get Netflix to sign Agent Carter to their series list
No. I loved the movie but they are not related as much as the name would imply. In fact, IIRC this series was actually conceived independently and someone along the way noted the similarity to the movie and revised the series concept to pick up some elements - and the names - from the film.
Been a while since I listed off the upcoming shows I've got my eye on, so here's what I pulled from a calendar of premiere dates: June 13 - Brain Dead (CBS) - will watch online tonight or tomorrow. Sounds like fun June 17 - OITNB returns June 26 - Roadies June 30 - Sex and Drugs and Rock & Roll (in both these i want to see how they handle the music - that is will the follow the Nashville model) July 13 - season 2 of Mr. Robot Sept. 30 - Luke Cage There's also Emerald City which might be interesting and Westworld which should be awesome. Shows on the fall network schedule that I can't be bothered to look up the premiere date for: Frequency Lethal Weapon Son of Zorn Timeless Powerless Time After Time Riverdale And there are a few others that intrigue because of casting (Bill Paxton has a show, Haley Atwell has a new one) Also a little thing called Star Trek has a chance to be good.
So, Braindead had quite a good start IMO. But what really makes me happy is reading they'll have Coulton songs each week beginning with episode two. That's amazing -- and a clear sign the producers know what they're doing.
Yes, but the new stuff they are doing now, not the old school cheesefest https://www.google.com/search?safe=....4.484...0i7i30j0i7i5i30j0i8i7i30.FGVv1rz9pX0
if you haven't seen the new season of Orange is the New Black, I recommend it. They went to much bigger topics this year and it worked very well, IMO.
The 70 minute Game of Thrones season finale is coming up tomorrow. No one really knows what will be in it but people are guessing Cersei tries to burn down the Sept of Baylor but ends up burning down most of Kingslanding while Bran might make it back to Castle Black only to find out he causes the wall to fall as he has been marked by the Night's King. Then there is Arya who was heading back to Westeros two epispdes ago yet hasn't been seen so far. Oh, and what ever happened to Gendry who was rowing back to Kingslanding for the last two seasons? Inquiring minds want to know.
Netflix has a new one premiering soon from Amblin Entertainment called "Stranger Things" staring Wynonna Ryder and said to be evocative of 80's movies like Goonies
Queen of the South is really good. Ironically, this show about Mexicans that stars a bunch of Mexicans airs on the USA Network.
