    I don't know what the clip Ferguson showed here is from - don't have time to listen to the whole interview - but I like the attitude he played there and it would be a nice sort of sharp twist on the Doctor if he were played that way

    Interesting news. Capaldi is a great actor.

    However, the jury's still out on the next series. As I've said before, Smith was a capable Dr. Who hampered by mostly by shitty writing and stories in the latter half of his run.

    Don't know much about him, but on the surface he seems like a good choice. Matt Smith always seemed too young for the part to me - he certainly had talent, but he lacked the gravitas that previous doctors brought, even relatively young guys like Tennant (though he almost a decade older than Smith when each started their roles).
