Be nice El Chup or I might not visit you when I travel across the pond. No offense intended but you don't strike me as a fellow who has a big reserve of extra friends.......
Stupid. I'm going to see it. I've always thought Empire was human centric as the way it was shown in the EU. This supposed oppressing minorities and women is a recent thing. And really the whole suppressing aliens was stupid as well given the size of the Star Wars universe. But whatever. Still going to see it. My fear is that these movies are going to veer into severe eye-rolling plot holes more than anything else.
The man who self admittedly can't get on with people and has no friends strutting around claiming others have no friends.
Yeah, yeah... I'm sure your motives were pure. Honestly. The rest of the fuckboys whining about this one remake and none of the others? Not so much. You don't need to #notallmen this.
Dude, they've been doing that since the reconstruction, and putting it to film since 1915. Conservatism has always been founded upon fear.
I honestly just wasn't interested. Of all of the actresses, I'm only slightly familiar with Melissa MccArthy, and not a fan. I know Kate McKinnon is on SNL now, and couldn't help but feel embarrassed for humanity over Leslie Jones breaching my conscious because of the media around a twitter storm... still couldn't pull the last one out of a police line up though. I really didn't care about the gender flip beyond the blatant pandering/obvious intention to generate publicity by interweb dramz. If they'd had a cast comparable to where Ackroyd, Ramis, and Murray were in the original, sure. But this was a "b" list cast for an "A" list remake. (I'm thinking Amy Poehler, Sarah Silverman, Rosario Dawson, and round it out with Aisha Taylor for Hudson.).
You would try to twist it around like that. The idiocy I'm reacting to here is a fairly transparent attempt to repeat previous non-controversies in a foolish attempt to support a film the people behind this attempt think is important to their cause.
That's basically as old as the EU, isn't it? The Thrawn trilogy has the protagonists noting that for Thrawn to have advanced to the rank of Grand Admiral despite the Emperor's dislike of nonhumans, he must have been really good, and I think Kevin Anderson's Jedi Academy trilogy refers to discrimination against Admiral Daala.
so wait, you mean the white supremacists are making shit up so that other white supremacists will not go to certain popular movies? Are we sure this is not some false flag operation by the theaters to keep obnoxious trumptards with guns out of theaters to clean up the annoying audience problem? Yeah, stay home and don't come out of your cave. Please do take your presence away. I wood appreciate not seeing confederate flags and trump advertisement as much as my black, Muslim, Brown, atheist, gay, Jewish, female, and liberal friends would. Boycott the fuck away, I might actually go see the movie in theaters if you guys are not going to be there. I am sure the employees at the movie theater will appreciate the entitled bunch not leaving their garbage all over the seats. Fuck, do the employees at Disney a favor and start boycotting their parks because word has it WASP events in Disney are Fucking horrible to work due to rude and offensive behavior of the Christian white supremacists. Why the fuck do trumptards think they make the world better when they are out in it? These are born Assholes, and the rest of us are much happier when you don't come out of your holes. The U.S. has not been made more pleasant and great because the racist fucks have crawled out of their slime together to support of their messiah. We should all be happy with any boycott the alt right wants to do. I am not bothered, and places you are not going to become havens for better people.
how about a boycott because I'm sick-and-tired of the whole fucking franchise and I'm bored shit less over every Stat Wars movie made for the past twenty years or so?
Actually, the last one was very good I thought. It was adventurous and had some good action. It had new people and just enough of the old cast to launch from. I thought it was a good movie.
Sort of how I boycott chickfillet. Never cared that much for fast food chicken, and I do not gush over their fries so I never really was going to be a customer anyway, but it was real easy to not eat there in protest.
If you do, I don't advise informing the board until after the fact. We've at least one member who's willing to try and fuck you over in RL, try not to give them an opportunity to get the TSA to anally fist you for drugs.
The Empire as presented by Lucas was an all male, humans only club. Interestingly, the evil forces in Star Wars are less sexist now than Lucas portrayed them. There are several women noticeably working for the First Order, some in positions of high authority. They are definitely still a homo-sapiens only club, though. That's fine. They are supposed to be scum, of course they would exhibit despicable traits such as racism.
If that is the case I am sure there is some tsa sex costume for his mom he can get at the local sex shop. Oh and do not worry @Dayton3 every good Christian man ever goes to the Fucking sex shop. I bet even the Amish have DVD players just for porno.
Hey now, the correct term is testicles in a ballsack! The boy might read this and start trying to jerk off peas because he is drunk or confused.
Dunno about Star Wars, it's a bit simplistic... But check out Transmetropolitan for a view of the Trump candidacy and likely Presidency. Sans a journalist armed with a bowel disruptor, sadly.
In Chip's defense, he stated many times that he wasn't a far of Feig's other films and gave a thoughtful review of the film explaining why it didn't work. That's more than some of the other haters did. And frankly, from all the mixed reviews, this film was not worth the energy some used to hate it. But I don't think Chup is one of those.
The humor could fall flat for many people and then the movie would just get annoying. It is certainly not going to please everyone, but if it hits you it is an ok movie. I think the humor was just not funny to chup from his description, and then you are left with not much else. It did not seem like he disliked it because girls have cooties like so many other people did.
Just out of curiosity: What would that prove? Is being baptized all it takes to be "a good Christian man"?
Meanwhile, there’s talk of banning Trump from Twitter due to rules violations. Don’t know how serious or possible it is, but it would be damn funny.
