The cool kids club - WF Clique

Okay so alot of people talk about the clique here on WF but is there one clique? Or are there multiple sometimes overlapping cliques? How can you tell if someone is 'in'? Rep? Smilies named after them? On staff?

Personally while I do think there are some people who have become pretty damn good online friends, WF hasn't become some exclusive community. Nor has it become a polarised 'us v them' type community. I've never been one of the cool kids, and yet I still have a blast and get along with most everyone. A good ammount have actually taken the time and spent the money to send me packages over here, which was freakin awesome.

However, I'm interested what everyone else thinks.

Anyway, I think it's more the multiple, sometimes overlapping cliques option.

I don't think people here intend to be cliquish, we just hover around those who have similar interests, which is normal. The great thing about WF is that there are so many interests, it's not really possible to be a part of just one clique. Everyone here has something to offer.

Can't be a clique if it's not exclusive. And there are no groups here that don't welcome new like minded members.

Personally I think cliques tend to be a comfort for insecure folks more than an outgrowth of people who share a common interest.

Well there is at least one here that requires you to be male. And entrance costs you your anal virginity. Too me at least, a little too exclusive!

I don't think it's cliquey so much as feels a bit incestuous at times.

Its gotten really mean lately. Don't think it's cliques as much as type casting. Someone confides something in the blue room and gets reminded of it every five minute. You still fat? You get a job yet? You still a virgin? You still stupid?

Only with some posters though. Others go unscathed (sp?). So in that sense maybe it is cliquish. Some people only feel cool if their dissing somebody else.

Actually if I remember correctly you can't take stuff out of the blue room and troll with it. You can only troll with stuff that has been put in say the red, or green rooms. And then you can only troll in the Red room, unless you want to get banned.

And the only person I can think of who uses those lines quite a bit, doesn't really go in the blue room. At least I don't think he does.
