At one time I would have considered it if he had given any straight answers when an actual campaign began, but this sinks his ship, PERMANENTLY.
My god, he clearly hates america. If he becomes president he's likely to destroy the world!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, if the pic is genuine, it's apparent that the national anthem is being played. Not saluting (if in uniform) or placing one's hand over the heart during this, is extremely bad form, and it won't play well in middle America at all.
Failure to show respect for the national ensign during the national anthem while running for POTUS is a real issue. Especially given his wife's comment that she is proud of her country for the first time in her adult life - only made after Obama takes the lead in the primaries - and his longtime pastors America hating words.
Indeed. It's like there was no recession, no two wars on the edge of being lost and no social tensions that could tear the country apart. As long as you make empty gestures and say empty words, all is fine.
I never put my hand over my heart... since probably the third grade. I also don't speak the words of the pledge, or the national anthem for any reason.
Maybe in Europe they're empty gestures and words, but they mean something to most rank and file Americans feel differently. Obama's attitude and posture in that pic are just plain disrespectful. Not to mention rude.
Tell you what Dan, the next time you go and apply for a job, make sure to imply that you hold your prospective employers in disdain. Get back to me on how that works for you.
Your choice. You are also not, nor, and with that attitude, will be running for President. So I don't care.
Really. At least stand there respectfully, not casually getting ready to twiddle your thumbs. But hey, that's cool. Maybe the first Marine Honor Guard to see him come down off his plane can just flip him the bird instead of saluting him. It's all just "empty gestures" right?
You gotta be shitting me. I wouldn't vote for Obama either, but this would be waaaaaay down the list of the reasons why. Can't you folks find something meaningful to debate? Sweet fanciful fuck.
Personally, I would never want that kind of responsibility. Trying to manage a household and a newborn is enough.
Good thing no one cares about your opinions. Just because he doesn't have his hand over his heart doesn't mean he isn't standing respectfully. Everyone was raised differently, deal with it.
There are indeed other reasons. This is just like the straw that broke the camel's back. I don't like his positions on universal healthcare or unions, either.
I should add that ALL of them are violating the statute that applies to the proper way to salute the flag during the national anthem. But you can all continue on in your faux patriotism which is a thinly veiled jab at Obama.
Except we don't see the area around - their probably were multiple flags displayed. I daresay it is also offensive to call my patriotism fake. Maybe you should learn a little about who you are talking about first.
Fingers interlocked down by your crotch is respectful? Maybe for an 8 year old kid who doesn't know better, not a US Senator. But yes, maybe there were multiple flags, but the others standing with them have hands over hearts.....like they say, "what's wrong with this picture?" Anyway, I hope it is Photoshopped.
Or I can just take a page out of your book and paint you with a broad brush over one thing you said or did. The point is, you wouldn't have voted for Obama anyways, regardless of this, so I don't know why I should care what you think,
I noticed a couple things about the pic, but the one thing that stands out most is the poor quality. It has large patches of digitization, I can see ur pixels nub. None of them are facing the same direction (with their bodies), yet everyone but that white guy is checking something out off camera. Another point is, that the Anthem may not have started, and Obama was slowest to put his hand over his heart. Not inconceivable, given that any photographer worth his salt would have caught the moment and snapped a shot before Obama could lift his arm. I'm not trying to make excuses, just conversation, I couldn't care less if he raised his arm or not.
That's what I'm saying - I really hope that there is a good explanation as to why Obama is the odd man put in the pic. But if there isn't.......
Anyone who is going to make their determination of a candidate by this picture instead of by their positions doesn't deserve to vote IMHO.
