Since this video was taken at an all day machine gun shoot, I'd imagine that any animals who might've been in the area earlier had already beat feet out of there by the time of this mad minute.
What animals? They were shooting at an established outdoor range, precleared and pre-rigged with explosives. Nothing more here than happened during a the filming of a scene in Predator or Gladiator. Sheesh, you people! Your only actual problem with this is that people seemed to be having fun with something you hate.
I think you might be going a bit far there dude. Its more like its hard to understand why people can enjoy just blowing shit up for no other reasons than to destroy things. Its hard to 'hate' guns when you have never and are almost certainly never even going to see one.....
Yes, but i got over blowing things up with them, or firing rockets at things other than the sky in my teenage years
Yeah, reading thru I think the treehuggers are completely missing the fact that this was filmed at an established shooting range, and no trees or animals were harmed during the filming of this motion picture. Watch the film again, guys. The targets are in a gully in a clearing. And I guarantee if any of you was handed a machinegun and allowed to empty it at an explosive target at a range, you would have, yes, a whole lot of FUN!
There's absolutely nothing wrong with blowing shit up. It's both fun and educational, and can be done where no wildlife comes to any harm. Like in Afghanistan.
Actually the reason is to WATCH things blow up, not to just destroy them. I dunno, Dan, most people enjoy watching explosions. It's the whole basis of the success of action films, fireworks displays, and Mythbusters.
What, when i was a kid? all sorts. I even made my own fireworrr.... oh actualy to call them fireworks is a bit of an understatement ....
That's not what I'm saying. In the video, what are they blowing up? What trees are they destroying? What animals are they killing? The way I see it, all that is is fireworks on steroids.
I have to believe El Chup was trolling this thread. The first page is packed full of hilarity. "What about the little animals?!" HAHAHA. Get the fuck outta here.
Uh i didnt watch the film. I never mentioned the film in the opening post, just peoples posts in this thread. I rarely click on videoclip links posted by people i dont trust on the net. Especialy when they come from a guy who regularly posts vids of people being killed or maimed or horrible injuries and shit
I'd hate to have to tell him that we'd routinely "lase" the bunnies and other wildlife that wandered onto tank ranges. Without the protective filter over the laser.
Well, there's nothing malicious or grotesque in that clip....unless you're an oil drum. It's actually pretty cool, if you would let your inner juvenile out.
Jeez, if ya didn't watch the clip I see no validity to any ensuing criticism thereof. I venture a guess that the environmental impact of what we see in that clip is roughly equivalent to a series of dirt bike races.
Looked like it was set in a clearing in front of trees so i doubt there was any real damage done. Wasted alot of ammo with no real targets there, should have put in a van to shoot up filled with gas cans.
Sweeet. Looked like a washout they were shooting in to me, actually lower than the surrounding land. OMG! The earthworms!!!
After scanning the first page, I've come to realize this is the only thread on the board right now I give a shit about.
