Parody thread or not? Well, not completely.... Elwood. You know I've always thought you were a pretty cool cat. We grew up around the same parts and if you didn't own this place, I probably wouldn't be here at all. You've always been patient and fair running this place. But... Two days? Isn't that setting a bit of a bad precedence? The person that used your personal information was permabanned (of course, I would have done the same damn thing in a heartbeat). But more importantly, would you be willing to assure us that she no longer has access to the tools and utilities that would allow her to look up our user info? Are all her back doors gone?
I'm typically inclined to give Elwood the benefit of the doubt. It does seem fishy that her ban was so short given the (IMHO) very blatant nature of her offense, but, not my board, not my call.
Three days. Banned Wednesday evening. Gone Thursday, Friday, and until late Saturday evening. Yup. But, honestly, she hasn't had those since she stepped down as owner. Since that day, she has not been an admin.
I've always wondered about the particular spelling and meaning of this word. Is this the same meaning as "whining"? And do you pronounce it "win-ging" or "wine-ging?"
Let's give it a chance. Hopefully the "time out" has helped. Even Trekbbs allows for folks to return and have another shot after being banned.
