Lot's of football left. And its better to lose early than lose late in the rankings.

Alabama is beating good teams with authority right now. I'd give them the nod, followed by Oklahoma, though I doubt that's the way it will show in the rankings.

Those black uniforms have been replaced by black armbands.

Ouch. I'm still in pain, guys. That was embarrassing but I've been saying UGA needed to get its act together before they played some really decent SEC team. Alabama really deserves to be number one. Oklahoma hasn't played anyone and really doesn't have anyone the schedule. If this holds up and they play in the BCS championship, "Sweet Home Alabama" will be playing all night long.

For once, Auburn and Alabama fans were in similar boats this weekend.

I spent most of the game praying that somehow both Alabama and Georgia would lose. After speaking to several friends, the feeling in Auburn vs. Tennessee was mutual.

I don't know about that, but it has to be the most of us that have ever been in the top 10. I hope Tech doesn't fall apart this weekend against it's first real opponent of the year. This is only the 2nd time ever that we've gotten up to #7, last time Texas promptly stomped up right back down to 20 or so by beating us by like 30 points.

MSU isn't too far off the list. Hopefully we don't have another "Spartan collapse" this year.

Yeah, it makes sense now. But how do you think anyone would respond if you told them preseason that Gameday would be at Vandy?

Some of the Alabama boards are PRICELESS right now. They're actually comparing Bear to God The Father and Saban to The Christ.

Of course, this could be good. The Obama camp might have him Vince Fostered 'cause nobody is gonna be allowed to compete for the Messiah title this year. :bergman:

Laugh all you want, but Saban landing at Bama was the worst thing to happen to Auburn in years. Tubs is a great coach, but he's methodical and conservative. Saban is dynamic. He is a disruptive force in the SEC and that's really saying something. You could end up watching your most hated rival win multiple national championships and you'll always know that if it wasn't for Saban, it could have been you.

Yeah, good luck with that, skippy! Wonder what the Vegas odds on that happening are...? It think the Tigers will pile on a little extra just for that comment.

Murphy's Law / Karma punishes such unbridled arrogance, Nautica. Let's not distract it from going after the Nebraska comment. ;)

After all, this is Missery. A Nebraska player is liable to kick the ball into another Cornhusker's hands, sealing a victory for the Big Red.

In fact, I'd say this is bound to happen.

And he really believes it? He honestly prays to the Bear? It's not meant as just a joke?

    Wow.

    I withdraw my statement.

How many people approaching their 30's are named "Major" after Major Ogilvie? :jayzus:

Hell, one of the University of Texas' coaches is named after him. :marathon:

Half way through the 2nd quarter and Tech's offense is having no trouble racking up points on K State but the lack of defense scares me. 24-14 so far, K State is beating themselves with stupid mistakes... works for me.

    Half time edit:

38-14... is K State this bad or are we actually kind of good this year...

This is pitiful. Two plays, two penalties, and then a delay of game penalty prior to the snap.

Okay, Tubby, you said on your pre-game show that you're staying with this come hell or high water. You're just gonna let this guy drag you down and the fans might not stand up for you again. :bergman:

Next series. Three plays, two penalties, and then a delay of game prior to the punt snap.

    Jesus Christ.

    Todd white, JC transfer.

Burns black, backup QB last year, basically just used as a running QB.

Tubby went with Todd, b/c you know, he's a racist (see forums) not b/c THE ONLY FUCKING THING BURNS CAN THROUGH IS A DAMN GAME (see 08 SEASTON)!
