Once Tech figured out that A&M has no OT's and can't run the football, the game was over. However, I was pretty shocked that the game wasn't over by halftime. Either A&M is getting better or Tech is vastly overrated.

God that game drug on. We started slow, got up big, then went in to a shell in the second half, running clock and settling for field goals. Of course home against Baylor is not a bad time to have an off game, especially with the gauntlet that awaits.

I was glad to see Texas curb stomp Missou. If we suffer the same fate, we'll have friends, as they say, Missery loves company. :bergman:

Just remember Whorns, no matter what we do, you'll pull it out in the end.

Have you gotten around to sending Fran a thank you card yet for Dez Bryant? Every time I see that kid play it makes me wanna shoot Fran in the testicles.

 I know the Sooners wanted him bad, what did Fran do? Hey you got Goodson though, lord knows we could use a tailback. :)

Dez is from Lufkin and up until then, Lufkin was an Aggie minor league. At the time of his recruitment, 4 of his former teammates were playing for A&M. He was a heavy A&M lean up until halfway through his senior year when he finally got wise and saw that Fran's offense is death for wide receivers. He didn't feel like going to college to block for the option, so he chose wisely and went to OSU. Totally smart choice on his part.

Very disappointing effort from Mizzou. They were overrated being in the top 5, that was apparent to me a while back. And I never expected them to win at Texas, but to roll over and play dead like they did last night? :jayzus: You'd at least like for the game to be competitive.

Somebody needs to tell Chase Daniel that the Heisman dream is now over, and he needs to pull his head out of his ass, and concentrate on winning games. His body language suggests the sullen petulance of a prima donna who began to believe that he was entitled to victories because the sports writers were fawning over him. Note to Chase - you're not a NFL quarterback, your career will end at Mizzou. So enough with the lackadasical attitude and sloppy passes I saw last night and make as much of your college experience as you can. Note to Pinkel - you need to diversify your running attack. Your playcalling looks exactly like last year, and teams have adjusted.

    As for OU.....

The defense looked tired and winded in the 4th quarter, exactly like they did last week vs. Texas. And OU can be vulnerable to the long ball, as the Jayhawks demonstrated. I still expect the Sooners to beat the Red Raiders, but I think Tech will put up plenty of points.

You could almost hear the ESPN analysts this last week and during last night's game, "Come on Chase, get it together, justify all the hype we gave you!" :weep:

Yeah, that game was painful to watch. Texas is a juggernaut. I don't see them losing to Texas Tech nor Okie State. I think they run the table.

Daniel is definitely out of the Heisman race now, and McCoy should be firmly in front-runner status.

Mizzou has an easy schedule the rest of the way out, and should still win the Big 12 North. Assuming that happens, they'll likely get a rematch w/ the Longhorns. Oh joy....

I see Daniel being drafted...some NFL team will take a flyer on a short-but-accurate QB. He may never be anything but a backup, but he does have a way of confounding people's expectations of his limitations.

Mizzou needs...and I've said this before...a big-ass TANK of a RB, at least for short-yardage and goal-line situations. It's something they've lacked for a while now. They could also use some CBs who can actually cover people....

So when you drop the game to Texas this week and they rerank you down below LSU then you'll know who they are again?

Speaking of LSU... they got some interesting help in winning that game...

Looking damn good so far. Makes me feel better about going into the next three games... of course there is still 2 full quarters left + 3 min of 1st half... but we have a 35-14 lead. :bergman:

Good luck today vs Texas, Flow, I'm pulling for you. :techman:

OSU played a good game, they deserve credit for being more competitive against the Whornes than OU was. I fear for the Sooners, I see them losing to either the Red Roosters or the Cowgirls. Giving up 35 points to a pathetic K-State squad? The OU defense needs a serious overhaul.

Well you're not the only ones. Is there a single good defense in the Big XII? Tonight, A&M won a game without forcing a single punt and giving up over 550 yards of offense. OU, Texas, and Tech all gave up a ton. Has the spread offense become so effective that there is no defense that can stop it given equal talent?

In Stillwater? You better believe it. Zach Robinson of the "cowgirls" is going to shred that OU secondary like tissue paper.

That being said, I could just throttle Gundy for not running the ball on OSU's last drive that ended with the 4th and 6 not being converted. They were running over the horns at that point. Only down by 4, you need to take all the time off the clock you can....don't pass in that situation when you've been running the ball effectively all day, Gundy, you stupid shit. I can say that because I remember the guy coming into Bennett Hall back in the day. Gods, Gundy was an arrogant little shit.

It's mostly nervous trepidation from this Bama fan.

I think about saying something, then worry about jinxing it all. ;)

Of course, I wouldn't bail on the thread if my team was losing.

Hopefully Penn State loses one of their remaining games. The farce that is the BCS will give us a NC game where Penn State gets beat by 30 by an SEC or Big 12 school to be named later.

This irate Penn State fan on rivals.com wasn't convinced that a Big 12 team could roll over Penn State. Somebody was opining that OK State with its offense that could keep pace with Texas (Oh Kendall, if not for that fumble :( ) would roll over Penn State; this Penn St. fan was saying it would never happen. I'd like to see the top 4 teams from the Big 12 South, any one of them, play Penn State. Paterno and his boys are going to go belly up and then some in the title game. They'll get there. The Big 10 sucks donkey balls.
