The Red Room just doesn't seem to be 'fun' anymore.

Main reason I stopped checking the board so much was I was sick of seeing every thread devolve into your poodle-stalking posts.

Now you've got a board where most everybody agrees with each other on things, most of the 'troublesome' posters are gone apart from some holdouts, and you have a place low on hijinks and board drama.

What really is there to argue about right now? We've been through the election, and have beaten that dead horse to death 4,201,123,154,141,676,412 times.

Pretty fast, especially when we lose 4 months of it.

The board is diminished. That's not speculation. The membership is down through bans and boredom. A goodly number of the oldest members or highest post count are gone, or just drop by once is a blue moon.

Some of that is due to a 'been there, done that' feeling to the threads, but it is also partly due to a general lack of feistyness and fireworks on the board.

We need more troublemakers. And Lefties. Maybe some Satanist just for good measure.

Maybe all those people who have been banned ought to quit breaking the rules.

Or, maybe all those idiots who have apparently been 'run off'....ought to quit acting like a bunch of pussies and stand up for what they 'believe.'

I would gladly let Cass come back. And most of the other members that have left.

Well, as long as ya asked, it's the whole thing where, ya know, a decent thread starts and before we even get to page 2 it turns into a snipe fest between Kirk and Garamet, or you and poodle, or whoever and whoever, and before long there's really no point in clicking on any thread 'cause they're all just flame wars. Granted it's calmed down in the last month or two, but for a while there the Red Room had no other content except flaming and trolling. There was about a month I spent more time over at TBBS just to read some actual content!

It's old, it's annoying, it's like the kids in the back seat doing the "he touched me!" thing during a long drive to the in-laws.
