UA are you reading this Just as I suspected. http://www.usatoday.com/news/health/2009-04-11-marijuana-driving_N.htm
Eh. I'm not worried about it. I usually tend to drive pretty slow when I'm high. More because I usually have something on me and I don't feel like getting pulled over.
Not really. I don't indulge all that much, and I generally keep it at home or somewhere off of the roads, but on those occasions when I have driven while buzzed, I drive better with a buzz. Weed is altogether different than alcohol.
I test here showed that being tired was worse than driving stoned, and being very tired was worse than driving drunk.
Nope. Wanna know why? Because weed makes you paranoid. Not the kind of paranoid where you're flipping out and thinking that the cops are after you, the kind that is in the back of your mind the whole time telling you to slow down, watch out for that car coming from the right, make sure they hit their brakes before they get to the stop sign. I am definitely a much safer driver when I'm high, because I know what would happen if I got caught, in an accident, etc.
I have actually avoided a few accidents when I've been high. Once, another car ran a red light while I had the green, but I was able to slow the car down enough to avoid a wreck. Same thing happened another time, but again....I was able to respond quickly enough to avert disaster. That time, I had some people in the car with me and one of my friends made the very salient point of... "See, thank god you were stoned! At least you are driving carefully." Anyway, I think it's time to visit some friends again in Berkeley....
I disagree, it makes you already know that any car coming down the drive is coming to your house to take you downtown for questioning. Shit when people are stoned its hard to even get their attention because they are zoned out on some stupid shit.
Not quite. In Florida they have dui. Driving Under the Influence which can include legal perscriptions, lack of sleep, etc.
Hell yeah, pot heads will be zoned out watching sponge bob on TV and laughing about it totally out of tune with everything else that is going on around them.
I've had a couple close ones on the bike that i'm glad I was high enough not to think about. Like the time this dipshit turned 90 degrees across my lane to get into a parking lot and I just rolled out of the way enough not worrying about where i was heading but where i didnt want to be. If I hadn't had a "safety meeting" at work 20 minutes prior, i would have been a hood ornament. The best thing about weed is that I can keep a good lid on my safe limit. There's a very distinct and broad line of when one has had too much.
