-9. I guess he should keep his mouth shut on local police matters and focus on things like not bungling the economy and Iran and N. Korea.
There are a LOT of people saying that Obama badly needs a vacation. He's in so much over his fucking head its not even funny anymore.
His disapproval rate is over 50% for three days now... Not bad, but I'm only interested when Strongly Disapprove gets that high.
How'd I miss this!? Yesterday the Obama was down to a -14 approval. I guess today he's clawed his way back to -12.
I've grown sort of bored with posting the Obama's numbers from Rasmussen (he's at -14 today, BTW), but there were a couple more polls today that I found interesting: Does this mean Obama is doing a worse job than Bush? Maybe we could come up with some sort of "lemon law", like California has for their governor.
Phone the neighbors, wake the kids. He's at -21! Does anyone remember what Dubya was at at this point in his administration?
It'll probably get worse soon as word gets out that Obama's health "reform" law was achieved by bribing Nebraska Senator Ben Nelson with promise that we (everyone in America except people from Nebraska) will pay for all increases - in perpetuity - in Nebraska's medicaid costs.
Oh, come on, Tuttle. You'd have to be a real tool to believe that they'd make this kind of deal. It's the same kind of delusional thinking that would lead you to believe that the WH or Senate leadership would [-]extort[/-] [-]threaten[/-] strongly word a warning about dire consequences for a "wrong vote".
Even liberal CBS, who tried to rig tghe 2000 election with a fake smear story on Bush, has Obama's approval below 50%.
Hmm... I wonder how Dubya was doing a year into his administration... Ah. 82%. The other interesting thing in looking for that statistic is how relentlessly negative the press has consistently been about Bush. I found one CBS poll from 2007 where a huge majority of those polled were opposed to his plan for Iraq--the plan that turned out to be hugely successful, allowing us to start winding down operations there.
The situations, however, are not at all comparable. After the September 11 attacks, Americans rallied around the President, just as a kind of reflex. The numbers, at that point, had a lot more to do with the world situation than with Bush's handling of that situation. For that reason, we don't have any reliable information on Bush's actual popularity and/or approval ratings from September 10, 2001, until a year later or so. (Which does not mean I am defending Obama in any way. The lower his approval ratings go, the more it gives me hope that Americans maybe aren't as stupid and gullible as the last election would make it appear. Maybe.)
It's time for math class!! Hmm, talk about numbers being in the tank. This is bad news for Obama and the Dem party. You just have to wonder, though, who in the hell are the 25% who strongly approve of Obama - other than his immediate family, maybe. Maybe some of the Obama stoners who fainted at the sight of their King of Hope during the campaign are still high, and think things are just hunky-dory. Whoever it is, I think it can safely be said that they are suffering from delusions of Obama's grandeur...
I think it's pretty clear that the popularity of all branches of the US federal government is low at all times other than when there's an artificial boost provided by things like election propaganda and 9/11.
Good Lord.... Even I'll vote for Obama before I vote for Huckabee. Fortunately it won't come to that because he has a snowballs chance in hell of getting the nomination after the other candidates are done chewing him up.
All I know is it's a fucking shame that the first black president to lead the nation has to give the office such a black eye in his policies. One has to wonder if Pelosi and Company are the cause of the demise of what otherwise might have been a good showing but after consideration I've concluded that for as personable a man as he is the personna is just that and the ideas that are being pushe as hard as they are aren't where the focus needs to be. He needs to back off the stick a bit and let the economy have some of that carrot they seem to be hoarding for themselves for their "plans" for what they're passing as economics in their eyes. We're in deep shit and all they seem to be able to focus on is ways to beat the money out of us for lamebrained schemes instead of allowing free enterprise take the lead and get the growth going that we all know such endeavours deliver. Squeezing blood out of a turnip has been tried and shown to fail every time. Ask me for a meal, I may reach in my pocket and buy you at least a happy meal, but try to pickpocket me and I assure you rebellion and a good ass whipping is all that mode will deliver as a prize.
Yes you will. According to leftists all us tighty-righty neo-cons vote in lockstep on everything. If you don't we will use the super secret Earthquake machine and attack the Falkland Islands because of your insolence!
