This is inspired by the BOB thread. If worst came to worst, and society broke down and it was just you, maybe your parents, maybe a spouse, and maybe your kids, and you had to have something to survive (maybe a medicine - for me, levothyroxin) that you knew someone else had... what would you do? Trade for it? What if they wouldn't trade because they needed it as much as you? Kill for it? Sneakily rob for it? Keep looking for other options? Make peace with God and die?
It would depend on the amount they had or the amount I needed. If it was something where I'd live an extra week with it as opposed to die without it, I'd try and trade for it. After all, even if I gave them everything I had, it would be worthless to me. And killing them would mean I killed someone just to extend my life for a really short amount of time. If it were something where I needed 1 pill a month, and they had a few hundred, I'd again, try and trade for it. If they don't want to trade, well.... let the slaughter begin.
OK, that's fair enough - you're saying that if you couldn't live off of it for a long time, you wouldn't take it. I take it this means you wouldn't join a motorcycle/snowmobile gang and rape and pillage your way across Canada with the end goal of survival?
What would I do? I'd be a complete self serving neanderthal shitbag and take from other people to provide for my tribe. May the strongest tribe prevail. Hot women are welcome to join my tribe.
I would start with the most civil option and proceed from there as necessary. No one's life is more important than those of my family and mine.
