    War.
Just watching footage of battles and fighting on TV makes me shake my head and wonder exactly how stupid we are as a species.

    It's pretty interesting.

Once when I got down from a particularly hellacious trip, that feeling stuck with me for a week.

I couldn't bear watching violence on television. Whenever I saw any violence, I'd get immensely angry, thinking, very much in a "prime emotion", "what the fuck, they're hurting each other!"

It kinda dissipated after a couple of weeks, though.

I dunno, I ended up having similar issues with watching or listening to anything Heino-related once.

I wouldn't read too much into it. ;)

Good call - both are pushing the limits on how low we can set the "entertainment" bar, and how far people are willing to degrade themselves to be famous.

BTW "WAR" made Edwinn Starr cry all the way to the bank.
If you don't know the song.....that makes me cry.

Who? Those whiny emo fuckholes who think they're controlling the planet via plastic bottles, hairspray, cow farts and nuclear weapons?

Shit, those asshammers can't kill cockroaches let alone a planet, I doubt they could even wipe themselves out.

    Reality TV.

    Billy-Mays-style commercials.

Hour-long TV shows that are really 40 minutes and still include on-screen promos during the show.

    Cell phones while driving.

The trend toward larger and pointlessly larger SUVs.

    Inconsiderate neighbors.

Any political extremism on any side of the aisle.

Religious extremism, both passive and murderous.

    Lindsay Lohan's meteoric decline.

    Rap.

Blind, kneejerk reactions to perceived racism where none exists.

    Racism, where it does exist.

Political correctness in its extreme, brainless form.

Zero-tolerance rules, blindly obeyed to the letter, ignoring the spirit, to the detriment of all.

The state of cable news, having become competitive entertainment rather than informative of events.

    Andy Dick.

I find it interesting that this means that there's actually more activity that make Lanzman weep for humanity than make Forbin weep for humanity.

    Horror movies as of late.

    Hedonism.

American Idol/So You Think You Can Dance/America's Got Talent/Etc.

    Ghost Whisperer.

    Paranoid School Administrations.

Those bastard college professors that use their position as a political platform rather than an educational platform.

    The price of modern furniture.

    Race voting.

    Scientology.

    The Jay Leno Show.

Unfit parents, which seem to be in mass abundance these days.

Obama's "Children are the Future" stand as it compares to his views of abortion.

    The existence of Clown College.
