Yes, in this brand-new recurring thread you will have a chance to ask a real-live Navy SEAL his opinions on any subject you desire.* *The author of this thread isn't actually a Navy SEAL.
I actually dealt with an impostor before. A former UDT guy I know gave me information and I lured him in with fake names and supposed classified military information. Played it off so well that when we busted him he admitted that it was all a lie.
As a vet/military retiree, it makes me sick. I really do not understand what would motivate people to act like this....I really don't.
No...I know a few guys who have the "love me" wall/book/shadow box etc. Nothing wrong with being proud of your achievements. I was just never that into it. When I retired I literally had no idea what all my awards/ribbons were, or how many. I would have to dig out my personnel records to find out.
I had a pic of some seals from a zoo show, wearing sailor hats. But I think its on a different computer.
Then we'll get some for the second half. Oh, and take a good look around you right now and see if you still feel like a winner.
Any REAL Navy S.E.A.L. (especially a combat veteran) won't voluntarily tell anyone about it. I'm sure a lot of those guys have been mentally scarred by combat so badly, that the slightest attempt to bring it up will upset them! The ones that go around bragging and the easiest to catch lying. The REAL ones hardly ever say anything!( and usually won't unless forced or provoked)
Exactly.....that's you won't hear me bragging about my sexual conquests of Jennifer Love Hewitt, Penelope Cruz, Mila Kunis, etc.
