Except I'm guessing you never chased any random black people down and shot them, right? Yes, I would, particularly if the authorities were acting the same as they were here.
Perhaps we should arrange for "Guido" to demonstrate upon 14th so that he has a solid first person understanding of what having your head pounded against concrete feels like.
Most likely getting your head pounded would not involve lateral movement. If someone has their weight/a superior controlling position on you and is directing their force downward via strikes, there will almost zero movement parallel to the ground.
Never had to and I hope I never do. If it ever comes down to the point of having to defend my life, I frankly don't care what color the guy is.
Speaking as one who has had the back of their head slammed into the back of the ground, been punched and attacked, I must respectfully disagree. This person was larger than me and I definitely moved my head from side to side trying to get away from the next blows, and I had bruises on my face. Edit : Oldfella I think you are assuming a skilled attack not a random, rage, and/ or fear fueled one. It won't be that cut and dry.
I think people are over analyzing that particular part of what he said. Ive used the same saying, "head pounded in...etc" for both domestic violence and just a wicked headache. Seems to be more as a adjective/slang than anything else, just my
The video is a joke. He was attended to at the scene. The video is no where clear enough to see anything. On top of that a lack of grass stains? Seriously? Some of you think your eyes are that good? Getthefuckoutofherewiththatshit.
Oh and as someone who works in a jail and has to deal with bloody inmates who fought each other, once you get the nurses to clean them up and the pictures get taken you practically have to put the camera on top of them to get good pics of any wounds. A security camera on the ceiling in a corner of a room is not going to have the detail no matter how much some of you will say otherwise to see wounds or grass stains. Unless of course you're going to claim that the police are lying when they said he had blood on the back and front of his head and his back was wet and had grass on it.
Have to find it later but the funeral director on CNN said Trayvon had no other signs of fight other then the gunshot. Also heard that Zimmerman said that during the fight Martin noticed the gun and was going for it and said Zimmerman was going to die and then they were fighting over the gun.
Yeah, the funeral director thing was on Nancy Grace, so I felt it wasn't worth mentioning. LOL. Hopefully we'll have some info on what's in the coroner's report soon. The 'going for the gun, you are going to die' stuff is coming from Robert Zimmerman, George's dad. Interesting, a source said the States Attorney Wolfinger met with Chief Lee while Zimmerman was in custody and made the decision not to prosecute. He later recused himself. If true, I can see why Lee had no problem turning it over to the States Attorney for in his words 'an independent investigation.' He knew he would be exonerated because Wolfinger was the same authority that made the first decision. http://www.thegrio.com/specials/tra...y-made-zimmerman-no-charge-call-in-person.php
You know, there are times where I think that it would be a good thing if there were race riots. Maybe it's time for everyone to let their anger boil over, duke it out, and get it out of our systems. Once that energy is spent then maybe, just maybe, we can put this stupid shit of racism behind us and move forward from here as a species once and for all.
So that puts to rest that there wasn't an official neighborhood watch and that he was self-appointed.
Well, that makes me want to be a part of an HOA even more. Because if they don't have good insurance, you're responsible for the actions of your neighbors!
I thought he had called 46 times within the year or past few months. Turns out it was going all the way back to 2004! I live in a HOA and we had a big rash of burglaries a few months ago. Ten people ended up getting arrested. Some lived in the community.
Oh yeah. You can really get screwed if the association doesn't have good insurance. Even with the insurance if there is a payout you will see your monthly fee go up because the insurance rate increases.
so let me get this straight... lack of visible evidence on video camera aside, he sustained injuries in the fight and the cops DIDN'T take pictures of those injuries? Since when don't they do that anymore?
You're assuming they didn't based on the fact that they haven't released them for the entertainment of the general public.
This entire thing is bizarre. The homicide detective recommends a charge of manslaughter, then the states attorney general arrives (randomnly, and oddly for a small town) and recommends no charges, then recuses himself? What was his reason for recusal, if that was necessary merely because he didn't have time for it why involve himself at the level in the first place? If there are pictures of the attack and Zimmerman being bloodied etc. why not release them as evidence? instead the police chief is suspended? There was no effort to identify the body despite Trayvon having a cell phone on him? Something about this whole thing just smells wrong. Like a Criminal Informant situation, an undercover agent who fucked up royally, a cover up due to relation or money. There are just so many things out of the ordinary about the procedures of this entire thing. I'm happy I live in Nashville again. http://www.newschannel5.com/global/story.asp?s=12002568
How often do you see every bit of evidence released to the press before the investigation is completed?
