So the internet meme today on Drudge is Condoleeza Rice is up for the VP slot. I don't think is going to happen. It stinks of pandering. But now I am seeing the Right say "She's pro-choice she can't be VP." SHUT THE FUCK UP ABOUT ABORTION! It's here and not going away. You chose John Roberts because of his views on abortion and it got you Obama care. STOP PICKING PEOPLE BASED ON THEIR ABORTION VIEWS! I will personall give you an abortion if you need one if that means kicking Barack Obama out of the White House
I suggested as much in TNZ a few weeks ago. "Double minority" hiring has solved corporate demographic problems for decades ("See? We hire women. Meet Charlotte in Reception." "See? We hire minorities. Meet Charlotte in Reception.") and is just the kind of thinking Romney can relate to. Problem is, Rice has about 20 IQ points on Mittens, and that won't do in a VP candidate.
Rice does have foreign policy expertise which of course would be helpful. While I don't think it will happen, I kind of like the idea of the VP debate where Joe Biden fumes and chomps down replies because he is just aching to hammer Rice but his political instincts stop him from doing it to a black woman.

I have to agree...Biden vs Rice would be hilarious watching and since everything else about this upcoming election sucks, it would be nice to have something to look forward to.
As much as I'd like to see her run for either slot she has said repeatedly that she is not interested. Odds are good that had she run against Obama I think she would have won.

Oh don't get me wrong, her track record on everything she has touced as far as I know has been golden. If she did run I'd be on the streets campaigning for her but as far as I know she has said she has no intention of running on more than one occasion. Where the hell did all of this come from anyway? Drudge? Pah, grain of salt and all that rot. At one point I would have considered Colon Powell, but that ship sank in a cold dark sea long ago.
More likely they would trip over each other coming up with explanations about how it is racist not to vote for Obama but not racist to refuse to vote for her.
And to me, that almost makes her the worthier candidate for President -- her stance that she doesn't want the job. But you just know that if she was given the job, she'd do the best job as President in... ever.
Really now. Huh. Well, she sure as hell could handle the job far better than any of the VPs I can recall as in ever. Her diplomatic skills are legendary and would make Biden look like a jibbering idiot jerking off in the sandbox. Wait, he doesn't need to be shown as such by anyone since it already appears that way, especally after his "shout out" to "Mouse" at the NAACP convention, but you get the drift.
Yeah, she spoke up here in Jackson in the last year or so. I'm still mad at my buddy at the radio station for not getting me tickets. HE got to speak to her for 5 minutes... COULD HAVE TAKEN ME ALONG RATHER THAN GOING ALL BY HIMSELF. Did get to see her lecture at Georgetown University during a series of workshops I attended. Good speaker.
Mmhm. So tell us all again why RightForge is wrong to support Condoleeza Rice, a black woman, for President, and yet we're all an "echo chamber". Tell us all how it's "consensus" when it comes to supporting Obama, but how it's an "echo chamber" when it comes to supporting Rice.
