I'm failing to see the correlation here. Yes, it's dumb. What it isn't is illegal, immoral, or violent.
I trust you'll let us all know the very instant they set some convenience stores on fire and murder a few people over it. Not that they're not crazy to get all butt-hurt -- but you said as crazy as Muslims.
Next, fundamentalist Christians enraged by an ad showing the Earth to be round. To add insult to injury, the ad also showed the Earth orbiting the sun. Pat Robertson calls on all good Christinas to boycott product.
Oh noes! My entire faith has been shaken because of an advertisement for a soda I don't even drink! How will I ever go on?! I must protest, because surely the way we are right now is the way we always were.
They might be offended, but I highly doubt any of them threatened to kill anyone or tried to kill anyone over it.
I think the issue here is underlying ignorance. Just because that ignorance doesn't riot in the streets doesn't make it any less insidious.
If you're trying to draw an equivalence between, "I'm offended!" and *STAB! STAB! STAB! STAB! TORCH! TORCH! SHOOT! SHOOT! STAB! EXPLODE!* you should probably understand going in that you're going to fail. There is no equivalence.
Would the offended Christians feel better if "Doctor" Pepper earned his degree at a Christian "Faith Based" educational institution?
Allways love how Libs try to excuse the actions of radical Muslims by trying to say well Christians do it too,but the problem is they don't react to the same murdous degree so they have to point to something lame like this or reach back 100s of years to things like the Crusades to try to draw a comparrison.
Its not dumb at all if you consider that the 'outrage' will result in a lot more exposure than normal.
Call me when Christian groups start organizing over stupid stuff like this and begin blowing buildings up with airplanes, killing people over it, and attacking the European and Asian countries for becoming far too sacrilegious against Jesus... Even the Westboro Baptist lunatics draw the line at murder for murder's sake. They may celebrate it with a parade, but they've yet to murder any ambassadors, Jews, gays, or EVEN Michael Moore when their Archbishop and High Priest, "Fred" had the chance. They just say it's all "God's will and God hates America, blah blah blah," and if the Muzzies would just adopt a platform like that, we'd all get on fine, or at least learn to tolerate each other. Until then does not equal :terrorist:
Even the people here such as myself who call for a blanket Muslim extermination do not do so because Muslims are anti-Christian. I don't care if they sing "Deck the Halls" at Christmastime. They've just become "too much of a nuisance" to continue putting up with for another hundred years or so. I really don't care what they think about Jesus. That's between them and God.
