Why Does the Voting Rights Act Not Protect Everyone?

Yeah, that doesn't play out differently at all, now, does it? It's always easy to dismiss prejudice when it's not affecting you and yours, now, isn't it? Here's the truth: discrimination is discrimination. It's always wrong. Always. No matter who it affects, no matter why. It's always wrong.

This entire notion of the voting rights act not being necessary reminds me of the patient who stops taking his blood pressure medication because his high blood pressure went away. I don't understand why the Supreme Court wants to revisit this. Justice Scalia's language on this matter is very disturbing.

The voting rights act protects everybody.
