Garamet the kid can't own a gun. That's just a stupid picture. And don't bitch about access because there are a lot of dangerous things in a home along with guns.

But I do agree banning the Kinder egg is dumb as well.

This would not prevent future bombings. The bombers wouldn't care or they would use fake ID's to come across the explosives or they would smuggle it into the country or they would steal it or they would make it themselves.

    Yes.

AR-15s are just as exactly as dangerous as scissors.

That's why so many people defend themselves with scissors.

You keep lying about this bullshit, smart people will keep pointing out the lie.

These two things are not the same. ESPECIALLY when it comes to an unhinged person getting their hands on them and attacking a school.

So it doesn't matter that taggants leave a signature that could be used to backtrace terrorist networks and possibly catch the people behind the foot soldiers? Might cut down on pilferage on military bases, too.

You're suggesting they're useless. The NRA seems to be saying they're some sort of threat to legitimate gun owners. Any idea why?

There is nothing to lie about you retarded sack of shit.

Yes an AR-15 is dangerous. Which is why a rational person takes proper precautions when kids are around.

But the picture is stupid beyond belief. You could put a chainsaw in that kids hands. Or cigarettes and a lighter. Or a can of gas. Or an axe. Or a kitchen knife. Or a plastic bag. Or any other thing that's dangerous to kids.

My guns have never jumped out of their boxes and attacked my kids. My guns have never run down to the local school and shot the place up.

I'm not going to be punished for the actions of a criminal. If you don't like it feel free to stick your ugly face in the nearest toilet and drown yourself.

Scissors? No, but I can take three bottle from under my kitchen sink and create enough incendiary materials to burn down every stick built home for a couple of blocks. I can take two more bottles and create poison gas.

I have enough portable power tools in my shed to kill all of my neighbors before the cops can get there. Trust me, I know their response time.

If someone wants on person, or a lot of persons, dead they will find a way. There's a smart way to go about this and then there's your way.

    Again, scissors? Physician, heal thyself.

    So the NRA lied.

    Again.

    What a shock.

We've had this discussion. "Punishments" like this happen all the time.

That's the reason you can't just go to a school playground by yourself and sit there to get some fresh air, even though you're a trustworthy guy that'd never do something inappropriate to a kid.

That's the reason you can't walk out of a store with a product unless you've already paid for it, even though you're a trustworthy guy and you'll totally come back with the money later.

You said that having these taggants in explosives could "prevent future events like the Boston Marathon bombing" and I'm telling you that if someone wants to bomb a future event they aren't going to give a fuck about the law or the fact there are taggants in the explosive.

I didn't say it couldn't be used to track down terrorist networks or the people behind the foot soldiers.

You didn't say anything about tracking down things after the bombing. You said having these things could prevent bombings from even happening. And that is clearly wrong since a person who wants to bomb a target is going to bomb it regardless of taggants.

Ah, so we are worried that the KID that Zombie was talking about was going to go an an arson spree?

Or are we worried about the kid finding the gun on the bed and accidentally shooting the sheriff's wife?

    Because THAT never happens.

Again, there's 12,000 murders a year with guns.

There's about a hundred by arson.

There's five times as many accidental deaths with guns than there are deaths by arson.

    http://www.statemaster.com/graph/cri_ars_dea-crime-arson-deaths

Oh, there goes Demi with those 'misleading' gun stats again.

In other words, shit you guys don't want to hear.

I was thinking more of your domestic terrorists, i.e., the ones not acting on the desire for martyrdom and 72 virgins. The increased likelihood of getting caught might discourage some of them. And knowing that the stuff on military bases was traceable might decrease the likelihood that someone's going to walk off with it.

And I'd still like to know why you think the NRA sees taggants as a threat to legitimate gun owners.

Still lying I see. Plastic bags - just as lethal as an AR15. Axes - just as lethal as an AR15. Kitchen knives - just as lethal as an AR15.

Complete and utter bullshit. The reason you want them is because they ARE more lethal, and you want that lethality at your disposal to protect yourselves.

But don't give me this false equivalency bullshit.

    Nancy Lanza's didn't either.

That doesn't mean a bunch of kids aren't dead.

Adding lethal weapons to a situation mean there's more chances of people dying. That's what the word 'lethal' means.

Yeah, you are just going to continue to do everything to make sure that organizations like the NRA allow kids to be killed.

And hell, even stop bombers from being captured when there's a reasonable way to do so that's existed for nearly 20 years.

Because you are all about your rights.

And not at all about your responsibilities.

    Dumb.

We license cars. We make people take tests. If you drink and drive, you are held criminally accountable even if people don't die. And there are sanctions beyond criminal for irresponsible behavior.

    Yep. Glad we agree.

Yep. We love killing kids. Hell just the other day I was saying that the only good kid is one missing his head.

You caught us! We would have gotten away with it too if it wasn't for your super sleuth detective skills!

We can no longer twirl our mustaches, have fun filled evil laugh fests where we plan on how we can keep killing the kids!

Where is it written that I have a responsibility to give up my rights because someone else murdered a person using something similar to something that I might own?

Whereas you continue to surprise me. Every time another measure such as you propose is enacted, we're one step closer to a police state. Perpetual monitoring of everyone, all the time, for the "good" of society. Watchers watching watchers until everyone's a screw. Neighbors reporting each other for every little violation of an increasingly restrictive set of laws. Rights? You have no rights. We know you'll probably do something illegal at some point, so we're going to watch you all the time. We must have order. We must have safety.

    Now . . . papers!

Texas requires you to give your social security number when you're buying a hunting or fishing license. They do it to see if you're a deadbeat dad. The thinking is that if you don't have enough money to make your child support payments, you don't get to spend any on a hunting or fishing license.

On the one hand, I like that. On the other, I don't like that I have to give them my SSN. :marathon:

How exactly does tracing gunpower and explosives with taggants lead to Big Brother?

You could make a much better case with CCTVs, and I understand that concern - but then there's the 'public' aspect of being in public.

I've no objection to a test. I laugh at retards like yourself who think it means anything. Anyone can pass a test. Have you gotten out of your house lately and been on the road? All those idiots driving around you took and passed a test.

And for registration? Absolutely against it.

Because you and the other anti-gun people are liars. Every single registration led to gun confiscation.

And as for Hitler, gun registration did lead to gun confiscation. Of the ones owned by the Jews. That's a point that you're too stupid to understand. Hitler didn't mind Germans having guns. Hell the German people at that point loved Hitler. Hitler had nothing to fear from them. He took a broken country and put it back on a path of prosperity. But Jews? NO GUNS FOR JEWS. Their guns were taken from them.

USSR? First thing they did was register all guns. Second thing they did? Confiscate all guns.

California required registration of certain guns. Swore up and down that they wouldn't use the list for confiscation. Were those weapons later confiscated? Yep.

Diane Feinstein and others have repeatedly said they want to ban guns. Yet you wonder why we call you a retard when you can't understand why we don't support the Democrat party's plan to have a "Register your gun" law.

The point I was making is that there is no Federal law that forces you to do it.

This is a perfect example. Texas makes you do it. Florida makes it optional.

My other point is that buying a gun is not easier then getting a hunting/fishing license.
