You know what needs to happen? Risk: Game of Thrones C'mon, they already have Risk versions for Middle Earth, the Star Wars universe, Hyboria, etc... I think we need to see a version for at least Westeros, if not both Westeros and Essos!
They have a rather nice mod for Crusader Kings turning it into Westeros and right now they're working on a similar mod for CK2. Both are much better than the rushed piece of shit which was actually called the Game of Thrones video game.
That's funny! He's actually in Calgary right now shooting a period piece called Klondike. (Which yours truly will be in - as background - this Tuesday ) It is going to be on Discovery Channel. I'm sorta wondering if that was snapped in Calgary, though I don't think it is, judging from the look of the subway. He said in an interview, he was a total wreck after the Red Wedding filming and was crying his eyes out all the way to Calgary.
Baba, that game got really bad reviews so I don't think an expansion pack will fix the game's flaws but here is hoping.
I predict a cliffhanger that has nothing to do with next season...you know...something like an army of zombies/white walkers forming up for a big camera pullback.
I swear, it's like a mental illness with you people isn't it. How hard is it for you to understand... PEOPLE DON'T WANT ANY INFO FROM THE BOOKS UNLESS THEY SPECIFICALLY ASK FOR IT.
Well, another season ends. Excellent finale and compared to last season much more low key. I'm looking forward to more of "Arya and The Hound", that could be it's own spinoff series, the title is ready made. The best line of the episode...if not the entire season: "You just sent the most powerful man in Westeros to bed without his supper" Joffrey is still a little shit stain who needs to die screaming in a fire. I think he struck a never when he commented about Tywin sitting in Casterley Rock. Now 10 months or so until next season... "And now my (our) watch begins"
My favorite line last night.: "HODOR! .... HODOOOOOR!" Well, i accepted that the producers and writers introduced the Starks to us only to make them martyrs. i did not expect to see so much gloating from the Freys and Boltons. Joffrey, sure. All those other assholes? Not cool. I was happy to see that after 2 years of being physically ineffective, Arya finally got to exact some revenge. So we find out that it is an egregious offense to the gods to kill a guest in your home. I can only hope that's a bold foreshadowing for Houses Frey, Bolton and Lannister.
Well, for Frey specifically, I'm guessing. That's whose "house" they were at. Bolton was just another guest (albeit part of the plot), and the Lannisters weren't even present, although they were pulling the strings.
Honestly that article comes off as "blah blah blah". I like that Dany is steamrolling over all opposition, it's a nice contradiction. The author of that article just sounds like he's looking for something to bitch about. /fanboy
Tywin really needs to bitch slap his grandson. I don't think Tywin was stern enough when reminding Joffrey that it's his armies that are keeping Joffrey on the throne. If Tywin packed up and fucked off back to Casterly Rock Joffrey would be slaughtered within a day. As for Dany, she should just bide her time. Let the 7 kingdoms tear each other apart and by the time they're done, her dragons would be fully matured and she can take Westeros with ease.
I'm in the middle of watching S03 E10 Mhysa again. I'd like ot ask you guys to speculate on something, but if your opinion is informed in anyway by knowledge from the books, I respectfully ask that you don't answer. What's up with Mellisandre? Do you think that she truly cares for Stannis? I don't know. She seems to have an agenda that's separate from his. Sometimes I get the feeling that she's more concerned with Stannis' beliefs more than she is with him getting to be king... The fact that he has a rightful claim to the throne is merely convenient to her. And poor Arya. On second viewing, it occurs to me that she wanted to die when she attacked that one guy that was bragging about desecrating her brother's corpse with Greywind's head. There was no real reason that she'd expect the Hound to intervene... and for that matter, why do you think he did? He's not going to get a ransom for her from anyone at the moment. I think that there is some mutual respect growing between the two of them. Well, at least the Hound likes her.... but she did give him his knife back after her attack. Overall, this episode, like all the season finales deals with the aftermath of the penultimate episodes. This one's no different. while I did like the Dany/Crowd surfing there were much better scenes this ep could've ended on in this very episode. Arya's whisper of Valar Morghoulis, Stannis' declaration to fight on the Wall, Bran and the Reeds going beyond the Wall. All of those would've made better endings, IMHO. And it also occurs to me that each penultimate episode has been a definitive Lannister victory. The Beheading of Ned Stark in S1, The Battle of Blackwater Bay in S2 and the Red Wedding in S3. I hope the writers give us something different in S4.
I think she definitely has her own agenda, but I don't think her agenda necessarily goes against Stannis'. I think she really views him as the chosen one by the Lord of Light, according to prophecies in her religion. Even though she is definitely using him, I think she still believes in him. My opinion isn't really informed by additional knowledge from the books because we know as much about her at this point in the TV show as we have found out in the books so far.
I pretty much agree with this. I also think The Hound is starting to care for Arya. Also, he's done some bad stuff, but at the same time I think he does have at least some measure of honor. He has now saved both Sansa and Arya.
Yeah, The Hound is the most Knightly of the knights we've seen. For fucks sake, one of the knights we've seen slaps Sansa on Joffrey's orders. The books do a great job (especially in the Sansa chapters up until this point) of shattering the myth of chivalrous and honorable knights.
