B/c you once again are trying to turn a discussion on an unrelated point (rep) into a discussion about you. You do it on purpose (why else bring up getting banned?) and if ed hadn't put your name in the thread title (nominally making the thread about you) I would have edited out that part of your post.
The thread has my name in the title, it is not unreasonable that I post in it. I was banned from Spacebattles.com supposely for being insensitive to homosexuals. To wit, I expressed indifference to homosexuals that committed suicide. I think it was just an excuse personally though. That board was full of Europeans who constantly bitched and moaned about American politics and American conservatives.
I do not like the concept of the owner editing out parts of posts he thinks don't fit the subject. If Wordforge takes that route, I will definitely be taking a long vacation.

Yep, this is the redroom, threads go where they go. The community polices that issue by either riding the train wreck, or ignoring the troll.
So, so far one admin is modding by way of trolling, another says it's appropriate to edit the posts of others. To think that these were the very same people who tore into Clyde for similar sort of behavior and then sacked him. Dangerous precedents I think.
Of course, it's somebody else's fault again. You were banned for being an ass, but basically doing the same shiy you do everywhere else. you make a post expressing your dislike for anything do not agree with, and when you get called on it you tried to play the innocent victim. you have been doing the same thing over and over for 13 years now.

Not in favor. I really like the ability to put a comment in there. I am relatively indifferent to the ability to negrep ("dislike"), but not being able to say why you agree is definitely a handicap, IMO.
Comments are extremely valuable when you're pages late to a thread, want to reply to something specific but don't want to jerk the thread into another direction after momentum has taken it in a certain vein already.
Strange as it may sound, it is possible to click "reply" and then, you know, say when you agree with......
Unless you're pages late to the party or it's a months old thread, like Bick mentioned. Plus, with more and more people posting from cell phones, it's sometimes easier to type a short comment than to fool with a full post.
