Well, the camps aren't symmetrical. I don't think we've ever had a lefty poster that was equally vindictive or uninformed as the worst righties, but those are not typical lefty vices; idealism, naivety, unwarranted universalisations are. We've had enough of that. And why not? We're not going to improve WF by getting rid of the loonies, there'd be no-one left except Clyde... oh, wait.

The Hillary devotee who hated Obama was kind of looney… Eminence? Effervescent? Something like that. I always thought the handle was suspicious given the Enterpriser/Excelsius connection.

Nothing to do with muzzling a point of view. It's just you lefties are wrong or stupid (or even worse annoyances so popular here, like liars that distort positions and then crow victory that you refuted a point nobody made, or at least gross distortions of what was actually said; I summarized that as "loony left" for brevity).

More a commentary of the sort that: since the lefties are wrong about so much, at least try to be entertaining or different in your spazzing. It's nice to imagine how people should be. But regulation and public policy should reflect the reality of what people in fact are. And not reflect every new administration's idea of utopia and salubrious public engineering. All most of the pols really want is power and a job etc., and lefties are the suckers that vote in favor of trusting the government more (GOP is close behind, and sometimes takes the lead, they're all whores imo).

E.g., to "help" society, the left protests and lobbies to increase min wage, or, e.g. the new laws of Obamacare. These reflect ideals, but are stupid and just wrong in practice (that's my nutshell of why I'm conservative). The reality: McDonalds is now moving to more automation (much fewer jobs at the untrained labor pool). And employers (like me, in fact) to avoid or mitigate damage of Obamacare regs have sadly been forced to fire Full time EEs, and reduced the surviving PT'ers below 29 hours. Hillary used to be a Goldwater Girl, back in the day. She decided she liked what the other side was selling. Anc is same ilk, well intentioned meddlers too tiresome with which to argue.

    Nothing original or entertaining.

I didn't know you were into that kind of thing. I mean, it's one thing to like ponies and such, but to sexualize them and store them on your hard drive? I didn't think you had it in you. Ah well, to each their own.

I also just realized that kind of thing is in your search history and image history now. Not to mention your user upload history. You sure showed me.

He was an ok guy but took things way too personally, and had a tendency to overshare.

He was left but I wouldn't say he was looney about it.

So .. any factual information dismissing Republican propaganda is a lie?

Also, have you seen the recent study done by some ivy league college (read republican training ground) showing the lies vs facts on all three 24 hour news networks? The categories were True, Mostly True, Mostly False, and Pants on Fire.

Guess who scored the highest in the Pants on Fire category.

A recent study has found that lung cancer takes about 20 years to set in. They're now trying to find better ways to detect it, so that they can treat it. Right now, it seems we can only spot it after its been growing for about 19 years. All this time, we thought it was a fast spreading disease.

Eh, I just use message boards as a form of entertainment. WF on occasion captures my attention and I post frequently, other times I simply don't find anything I want to comment on. I think that says less about the board than it does about me. I don't see any reason to bitch and whine about what's posted. I either find it interesting and post, or not.

Anyone who thinks liberals can't be sharks is a partisan hack or extremely naive. I damn well remember a few of them here trying to lump me in with Sokar when I stopped swallowing the Dem's bs. I couldn't help that assholes supported what I supported any more than I can change that I'll most likely have to work with a shit ton of barking militant moonbats when I get into the environmental field. :marathon:

Though she probably won't come into as much direct contact with them as with the other kind.

Incidentally, I just saw a Boston friend's Facebook post about the proposed bottle bill expansion where a friend of his complained in the comments that it doesn't go far enough, and one of the things she said she wanted was mandatory composting. Not even sure how that would work...
