Of course you can read and comment. What I'm saying is why should anyone concern themselves with my motives one way or the other.
I don't know, maybe because you get so butthurt over the responses? If I really cared, I'd be following you around on the web and checking the other sites that you post to. And again, instead of trying to learn from honest advice that someone gives you, you lash out at them.
Why "would have made a good president" ? Not, "would make…" or "will make…" No, this suggests at some point in the past, Dayton's time and ours would have been better spent with him as president, rather than doing whatever it was he was doing at the time. That might be the most disturbing aspect of this thread.
Honest advice isn't packed in an insult. In particular I don't like people claiming to be nice and helpful......in the Blue Room (where they are prohibited from acting in certain way) but then act entirely different in the Red Room. As someone (don't remember where). "I may be a son of a bitch but I'm the same son of bitch wherever I go". Probably mangled the quote but it gets the message I'm trying to convey. Besides that Tucker, I value honesty. Lots of people do not like me here and elsewhere. Unfortunately in the real world it is horrendously difficult to get people to be flat our honest and explain WHY they don't like you. I don't enjoy people not liking me. But if they do it is nice to see pretty clearly. As Kor says in "Errand of Mercy" "Good, honest hatred. Very refreshing"
When have I ever posted in the Blue Room? In fact, if the other mods remember the discussion about picking a mod for the Blue Room, they'll remember my saying that I don't even read the Blue Room. And if you think I'm insulting you, you don't know me at all.
I was thinking of El Chup, Gul, and Anna in particular. IIRC Ed has been a jerk to me in the Red Room but he is the same in the Blue Room so at least there's that. At any rate, back to policy. If I was president I would end American employment of Private Military Contractors (PMCs)
So you're complaining that people are different in the Blue and Red Rooms, and you're complaining that I'm the same? Pick one or the other. If I was president, I would make Tuesday nights mandatory S'mores night for the military.
No. While I do not like what you post about me I do praise you for your predictability and consistency.
I like what I post about you... and so do many others. Therefore the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few or the one. I would also make taco bars mandatory in all federal buildings.
I would ban the plastic packaging that takes a Beverly shear, a Dremel tool, a circular saw, or a stick of plastic explosives to open.
Seriously, I would. Republicans and Democrats can debate politics till they're blue in the face, but the first candidate who comes out for a ban on that impenetrable plastic packing will win. All other issues pale in comparison.
Yes, because as you've admitted in the past, you tend to lump everyone who disagrees with you into one large pile, and you figured, mistakenly, that I was "just like the others" and had whacked on you in the Blue Room. To quote Sun Tzu, "It is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you will not be imperiled in a hundred battles; if you do not know your enemies but do know yourself, you will win one and lose one; if you do not know your enemies nor yourself, you will be imperiled in every single battle." To everyone but yourself, its obvious that you fall into the final category. And no one cares. You might as well as say you're in favor of breathing. You could entitle this thread "Love Songs for My Dick," and not lose any accuracy in the description. All you've offered in this thread is things that are either stupid, poorly thought out, or are so bland that they fall into the category of, "Yes, everyone thinks that." How does any of that make a case for you being a "good" President? Especially when your only response to criticism is butthurt, and not actual answers.
If you cannot brush off, or even spot what is clearly intended as a joke and have a laugh at yourself, how in the hell can you claim to be intelligent enough for high office?
So where does that factor in to all the belittling insults you have fired at people in the past? Nobody has acted differently at all. Actually, you have bucket loads of honesty in your Blue Room thread. You just dismiss it because a lot of it isn't what you want to hear. You just want to be buttered up and told how wonderful you are and you just cannot articulate the possibility that the reality is quite, quite different. But then we've had conversations over and over about earning respect, understanding others and so on. You just put your fingers in your ears and carry on regardless. You quote Star Trek in your post. How about a statesman... Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen. - Sir Winston Churchill.
If you were President... Come on man. Mind you, there was Dubya so I suppose there's a lot you could get away with.
A quote the never seems to be understood by people here in whatever context. Dayton doesn't stand a chance in hell.
Don't use a turn signal/headlights when it's dark/etc.? Booked on a misdemeanor. Fuck a fine, book their ass. Bet they won't do it again! Blocking public doorways by standing in front of them bullshitting? Punched in the solar plexus by person being blocked. Complain about the punch? Kicked in the testicles. The deterrent factor alone ensures compliance once word gets around.
I don't like you because you're arrogant, stupid, dismissive, fat, clueless, hypocritical, and a piss poor example of a human. Arrogant because in a thread like this you only want to hear praise, and take criticism as insults. Stupid because you claim that you're smart yet have a hard time understanding that advice can contain criticism. Dismissive because you state that anyone who gives any insult is immediately classed into the same group, and you still dismiss the fact that you hit your wife as no big deal then and now. Fat because you're fat. Clueless because you still haven't figured out the simple shit in life that most people do by the time they're in their 20's. Hypocritical because you say you're a good person and christian, yet you're piss poor example of each and have such wild interpretation of each that only you can believe them. And like I said, that makes you a piss poor example of a human. In other words, Dayton is the kid no one on the playground likes and wants the teachers to make everyone be nice to him. And when they aren't he doesn't invite them to his birthday party. And when the party comes, he's the only one there crying because no one showed up, and blames it on the mean kids.
What makes you think that a President has got to be inteliigent? Some of our Presidents have been average intelligence. Of course. I'm at least above average. I am sure that my years of winning debates on Wordforge and Spacebattles.com has shown you that by now.

Why is it ed that you have to use my personal history against me all the time?
I hate responding to a parody of my account (which should be prevented from using my avatar and signature line) but this does bring oot a reasonable point. Arguably the two most intelligent presidents of the 20th century were Hoover and Nixon. Things didn't work out for them.
I mean come on. George W. Bush was often insulted over his intelligence. But he was the best President in our nations history. By my reckoning at least. Oh well. Maybe Jeb will make me defense secretary.
