    I don't care much for The Last Starfighter film, even out of nostalgia. It's notable for its early use of quasi-photo-realistic computer graphics in a feature film. And the theme is absolutely terrific.

    :clyde: Not so interested in this idea. A series based on the movie, and using the same computer effects (which should be dirt cheap even by TV standards nowadays), that I would watch. I love the The Last Starfighter. I'm not looking for any deep meaning or social commentary, just a good time with a sci-fi kick to it. It's one of my favorite '80s pictures, along with Night of the Comet (also starring the lovely and gracious Catherine Mary Stewart) and My Science Experiment and Exlporers. Or even The Wraith, they're just fun.
