It seems Dinner either doesn't understand the value of land in an agrarian economy, or disagrees that the Puritans took what didn't belong to them.

Clearly @Dinner suggests that so they can all freeze to death. Note he advocates only the most basic of amenities, and we can assume by default that his plan would be use a smaller budget than that currently spent on welfare claiming migrants, so that would almost certainly mean inadequate housing and very little food and amenities. Accordingly most would die off in time.

In other words, our resident Nazi is essentially proposing a mass extermination. Why am I not surprised......?

It is you racists who constantly try to inject race into everything when it isn't even a factor. We are talking about fraudsters trying to abuse the system to get a free ride. Australia has the right of it because it fully lives up to ots oligations making sure they get food, water, and shelter in a safe place but equally make it clear none of the boat peoplr will ever set foot in Australia while theor claims are being processed. Suddenly, the fraudsters attempting to bipass the immigration system just stopped coming. Word got out that expensive boat rides wouldn't get them the welfare checks or free access to Australia they wanted so they stopped coming.

The current EU approach just encourages more people to get in boats insuring more people die. Tough love and hard rules is what is needed to actually stop this nonsense.

I don't know. The EU President's statement about "out is out" seems a very short sighted and antagonistic statement right before the vote.

I am not sure the EU will not be vindictive but part of me hopes practicality will win the day if there is an Brexit victory. The business certainly would prefer a partial renegotion to a total punative disruption no matter how badly the Eurotwat elites might want to punish the up start. One hope is that the US administration would, in the face of the reality ofof a brexit vote victory, lean very heavily on tge EU to come up witg an acceptable compromise no matter how much the EU elites want to punish the UK for tge audacity of its voters.

I still think that is an outside chance but still a chance. The big problem is I think, in that eventuality, the Obama administration would resort to its default timid nature instead of actually leading and bring full influence to bare for a compromise from the get go.

Before anyone says it, yes, the US most certainly can find a myriad of ways to at least threaten and cajole the EU elites into doing the right thing against their punative nature. That sort of help could be crucial to actually forcing real change where the UK maintained free trade without letting Brussels control their border or other government policies. It all depends on tge current administration being willing to go to the matt to help the UK and, sadly, that is where I think Obama will be found lacking.

Oh, Obama will probably go around talking about how the redneck Brits cling to their guns and religion.

Meanwhile, Brexit will cause chaos in Brussels as the remaining EU ministers jostle and fight over how to divide up the former UK MEPs' office space and rental flats.

Can someone explain to me why a complicated world issue is being referred to by a term created by a teenage girl trying to be cute? I think I understand the issue as much as an outsider can, but why did they use such a stupid name?

Perhaps. Or perhaps it's a response to some who have suggested that an out vote won't really mean out but rather be a starting point for further negotiations. Either way, I'm not sure that it will make a tremendous amount of difference.

You might be right. But I have found the EU's statements and attitudes about the referendum somewhat tone deaf. Flies and honey and all that. And they haven't exactly given Cameron anything to hang his hat on in the way of concessions. They've gone out of their way to make him seem ineffectual. It's very weird.

European leaders have always known that Cameron would back Remain come what may, which obviously weakened his position; and Cameron, as he has proved time and again, is a poor negotiator in any case. Also, the EU and the UK government are actually broadly in agreements on most things that might conceivably be up for negotiation, so making meaningful concessions was always going to be hard. The kind of concessions that would appease hardcore Eurosceptics were never going to be on the table. Finally, there's the fact that giving too much to Britain would lead to other countries wanting the same kind of concessions, which would cause complications in the long run.

Claiming someone is "racist," when they have, time and again, proven their objections have nothing to do with race and everything to do with an ideology of murder makes you nothing more than a lying shit stain.

We all know you know that. It is part of what makes you a lying shit stain. That is part of why you are such a failure.

You've proved nothing of the sort. The reason people call you a racist is because you keep making racist posts. This shouldn't be hard to understand, even for someone as dense as you.

It's kind of a cool loophole, though -- I don't believe I am [insert label], therefore I'm not. @Dinner, you may not know it, but when so many here consider your views to be racist, well, where there's smoke, there's usually fire.

You see it sounds really Fucking stupid when you talk like that and all the intelligent people will be too busy smacking their foreheads to intervene and make sure things proceed along. A brexit is what Clark Griswold was looking for when he got stuck in the traffic circle by big Ben in European vacation. Fucking stupid limey country is centuries old and trying to talk like a teenage tart. Leave that up to America.

It looks like any other polling day. Turn up at the polling station (school in my case), get my slip, put my cross in the box and walk out.

Weather wise, even at 7.10 am it was a lovely summers morning. Sun was shining.

So I figure the brexit is the water rushing away from the beach of society and a Donald trump presidency is the tidal wave of conservatard destruction that will crush us all back to the stone age.
