On the off-chance that anybody here was laboring under the delusion that gtardo had the moral high ground, this ought to disabuse you of that fact. Killing millions of people to bring down one politician isn't exactly what one would call an "ideal solution," or even an acceptable one, at that.

Actually almost every investigation turned up plenty of evidence to put her in jail, but politicians and prosecutors balked because there is absolutely no precedent to putting a First Lady in prison while her husband is still running the country. It would horribly diminish respect abroad and completely damage the President's freedom of action and image, and thus the image of the United States. So Hillary kept escaping prosecution for felony after felony.

As just one minor example, in her sworn testimony to Congress she committed perjury, over and over again. She also repeatedly lied under oath to Federal investigators. Anyone else would already be in jail. Remember what happened to Scooter Libby for failed recollection?

We may be left with no other alternative. She must be executed by lethal injection, die in prison, or blow her brains out in the White House situation room as her last defenders tell her it's over, Americans have the building surrounded, and she lost.

She said she never sent or received any classified materials on her private system. She lied. The FBI confirmed she lied. That is perjury.

She said she only used one device, a Blackberry, for all her communications. She used dozens of different devices. She lied. That is perjury.

She said she turned over all work-related e-mails to the State Department. She didn't. The FBI confirmed she didn't. She lied. That is perjury.

And she mishandled classified information, which carries a ten year jail penalty per offence, and ordered her underlings to likewise mishandle classified information.

And she'll likely be indicted by the FBI for public corruption for her Clinton Foundation activities.

What do you know about Assange? Why do you blindly trust foreign individuals? Why do you believe this is some super do-gooder who would throw away his life doing good instead of someone who has been compromised and blackmailed into doing what he is doing? You keep harping on this like it's something significant. Essentially, you can commit perjury and not have to suffer the consequences for it no matter who you are. What on earth makes you think that a powerful politician is going to be held to a higher standard than you or I? If you'd been paying attention, you'd know that she's more likely to get a medal than a prison term for such things.

There's a slight chance that one of her underlings might be charged, but that'd be pretty unusual. Generally, you only get charged with such things if you're someone like Snowden or Manning and do it without permission of your superior.

I really don't understand how it is that people fail to get this point. Sure, g'tardo doesn't get it because of some phenomenally motivated reasoning, but there are a lot of otherwise seemingly sensible people who think Clinton is particularly corrupt or dishonest despite two-and-a-half decades of constant investigation of everything she does turning up nothing worse than the fact that she took the same technically improper shortcut everyone else in a similar position took to do her job. The email "scandal" is like finding out that Hillary drove 80 in a 65 MPH zone once when she was late for work, and that's the only "scandal" where it's actually been shown that she did something improper. There's worse that comes out about Trump on a quarter-hourly basis than has ever come out about Clinton.

Because people put less thought into their politics than they do their religion.

Then what's going to happen is that Republicans are just going to murder all the Democrat politicians. Will they go to jail for it? Of course not, because laws no longer apply to politicians because Democrats insist that laws don't apply to politicians.

Now why did Scooter Libby go to jail?

Why did CIA Director David Petraeus resign within three days of the DNI finding out about his mishandling of classified information, why did he plead guilty, and why did the FBI recommend felony prosecution? Why did he get two years and a $100,000 fine, since what he did was nothing compared to willfully opening the conduct of almost the entire State Department to foreign hackers?

A Navy machinist mate was just sentenced to a year in jail (he was facing 5 to 6 years) for taking two photos of his submarine's reactor compartment so he could show his family where he works.

Why did CIA Director John Deutch have to get a Presidential pardon for having a classified file on his home computer? Hillary had a server with hundreds of classified files.

Why did a State Department employee get sentenced to a year in jail for taking a memory device home with classified information on it?

Under no standard of justice should Hillary escape prison for any of the many, many felonies she has committed.

But she went far beyond these other cases where people went to prison. She not only mishandled classified information, she lied to investigators, lied to Congress, destroyed the evidence, and obstructed justice. And what she did is far worse than just destruction of evidence. What she destroyed was key to figuring out what foreign intelligence agencies may have accessed. We can't know the extent of the damage she caused because she destroyed the information needed by our own side to assess what programs have been compromised. For that alone she should get life in prison.

There will be enough evidence to charge her. Especially when people start flipping because they don't want to face a decade or more in prison for her.

And if you think the Democrats won't do what the Republicans did to Nixon I got some bad news for you:

#1 Most Democrats in the House and Senate despise Hillary Clinton

#2 Most Democrats facing the facts of her corruption will find it far easier to go to her and tell her she has to resign or they will side with the Republicans and remove her from office then to face the voters wrath. The Democrats will be looking out for themselves and then the party. Hillary will be a distant third on the care list.

#3 The majority of the media may be on the lefts side but they've got no real love for Hillary. They would dump her as fast as they did in 2008 when they ran to Obama's side. In fact right now your starting to see cracks in the media where even they can't keep a straight face when talking about Hillary.

#4 Democrats would have no problem going to Kaine as POTUS. If he can pick up a VP that everyone on the left likes they may even feel that they've got a chance to win in 2020.

So maybe she does serve a full term but it's far from certain. Republicans certainly do not need to dominate anything as they will likely have Democrat help in bouncing her if push comes to shoving out the door.

I am as desperately passionate that Trump lose as anyone you'll ever come in contact with, if that results in, by default, saying "Clinton is just an ordinary corrupt politician, not a diabolical Bond villain" then sure, whatever. But don't mistake my obsession with Trump's loss as some misapprehension that Hillary is the transcendent savior of the 21st century.
