It certainly took Obama a long time to produce the allegedly authentic birth certificate. He could have stopped this in its tracks months before he did, yet he chose to wait.

I guess making a forgery look real takes time. Is that why Grathan Tolar couldn't make a holo-program that would stand up to Romulan inspection? He just wasn't given enough time to make it foolproof?

The other day I was playing the Neverwinter Nights mod Darkness Over Daggerford. At one point, I came across two "philosophers" standing near a cliff that the leader of their philosophy had jumped off. Their ideology was based on the premise that true knowledge comes from making an assumption based on a gut reaction, and then using logic and deductive reasoning to explain why the initial assumption is correct. In a nearby cave I found a journal belonging to the founder, explaining how his original paper was an argument that gut feelings may have a place in philosophy and shouldn't necessarily automatically dismissed as invalid, and how his idiot "students" ruined his life and made him a laughing stock amount his peers, infuriating him to the point where he eventually jumped off a cliff. When I showed this journal to the philosophers, they came to the conclusion that it must be a fake because their gut feeling was that the "founder" wouldn't say such things. Anyway, I suggested they should emulate the founder and jump off the cliff themselves, and they did so. Unfortunately, that's not so easy in real life.

You would be really surprised at how wrong you probably are. Probably enough to jump off of a cliff.

About an hour ago he came around here collecting guns. At least I think it was him because all those black guys look the same to me and my racist neighbors so we all gave in and handed him our weapons figuring we knew it was going to happen someday. I am sure nothing bad will come of that.
