Okay, so what's your explanation for how stories which pre-date the Bible, or were written down before any of the scribes discussed the story could have heard of the Bible "just happened" to write down a story that's stunningly similar to that which appears in the Bible? We know generally when most of the things in the Bible were WRITTEN DOWN.

We don't know how long before the stories originate BEFORE being written down.

For all we know every story you see as being written before the Bible were variations of the original stuff ultimately written in the Bible.

So? How do you explain the stories in the Americas which are identical to the Bible that were written down BEFORE 1492? Quetzalcoatl's story is nearly identical to that of Christ, and the earliest accounts of it pre-date that of the period of time in which Jesus is supposed to have lived by some 600 years. (As are those of folks like Krishna and others.) Are you claiming that Jesus lived and died before those accounts were written?

side-note from reading through this thread. Dayton has a trait I share - not liking physical contact, even shaking hands. The only reason I should be touching someone is for sex or fighting. Damn this just opened a can of worms for Dayton jokes, but bear with me - I'm just not a toucher! Nothing wrong with it, nothing personal, but it makes me very uncomfortable and nervous and awkward. Same with "small talk" for some reason. I'm just not a social person. I love working with people as a team on a shared mission or project, or in a teaching/learning situation, but when it's time to "let my hair down" I'd rather not be around for that.

One of the nice things about being God is that I don't have to directly experience something to understand it. I know what having sex feels like, as well as other forms of reproduction, for every form of life in the universe. Human reproduction is pretty average. It feels pretty good, but isn't really anything special.
