Gotta say, Powerless has gotten better. Was slogging through it to get to the Adam West one (still hasn't been on), and damn, once they got a handle on the characters, and how to balance the "we live in a world with supers", concept without cramming it down your throat, its settled down into a nice little sitcom. Needs more Green Fury though.
Zod is going to be on Supergirl, and it's a dude who's been on Smallville, and Arrow, and was a bit player in Man Of Steel. http://www.cbr.com/cw-casts-mark-gibbon-as-general-zod-on-supergirl/ Dammit, why did no one tell me of this guy? I've been looking for a clear link between DC-CW and DCEU.
I don't think I've mentioned this before but one thing that is REALLY grating about the DCTV shows is the "explain the concept at the start of every episode" monologue. At this point, EVERYONE FUCKING KNOWS that Supergirl came here as a child from Krypton and is Superman's cousin, that Ollie spent five years (mostly) on a hellish island, and that Barry probably just fucked something up. SO tedious
DC is launching a digital TV service with live-action Teen Titans, and animated Young Justice: Outsiders. http://www.superherohype.com/news/3...ive-action-titans-and-young-justice-outsiders
I'm still waiting for the opening to pause just after Barry claims he's "the fastest man alive", the music to slow and segue into Yakkety Sax with a black screen with, in big white block letters, "EXCEPT FOR", and then the screen to rattle up with "Reverse Flash, Zoom, Savitar" and every other bloody speedster who has outpaced him. The Flash is good fun, but they're going to run out of people for him to catch up to.
Fighting the mother-in-law it seems! Although that was pretty much a given how the ep I saw a few days back ended.
In fairness, they kind of did just that with the various "and I am no longer the fastest man alive" versions.
My predictions tomorrow for the reveal of Savatar's identity. It's either Jay Garrock, or Ronny Raymond.
Powerless against unemployment. Never saw one episode, but, since it's gone so fast, I sure hope it wasn't any good.
Black Lightning trailer. Damn, if that lives up to the trailer, we could have Luke Cage quality every week!
Harley Quinn will be in the finale of Gotham, and lead into season 4. http://www.superherohype.com/news/398167-harley-quinn-confirmed-for-gotham-finale-by-david-mazouz
Wait, have they introduced the real Joker yet? (I stopped watching a few months ago.) You can't have Harley without the Joker. That's... insane.
I think they threw in the towel on their dumb idea to have multiple fake Jokers, and have given the fans what they want, and let Jerome be Joker.
I don't watch the show, but I caught the scene from Jerome's first appearance, where his Joker persona emerges while he's being questioned by Gordon. Thought he absolutely nailed it. Then the producers killed him off, and had the whole "lots of would-be/could-be Jokers" and I thought: "You had a great Joker--who EVERYONE agreed was a great Joker--and you threw that away? Morons!" If they're making Jerome the Joker, I'm glad.
A rebooted Isis is going to join Legends. No, not the terrorist group, the cute Egyptian chick from the 70's. http://www.cbr.com/legends-of-tomorrow-casts-isis/
Oh, and the Gotham finale was awesome! Thank goodness they're getting their 4th season. If they had been cancelled on that finale, I would have been pissed. "Oh NOW you kill it, when it starts getting really good?!?! ". But nope, they've got that extra year.
Ugh, sorry, there was SOOOOO much Comic-Con to juggle, I'm just now catching up to DC-TV. Flash season 4. Legends season 3 (sweet Titanic joke at the end) Supergirl season 3 Arrow season 6 Gotham season 4 (LOT of flashback, and then about a minute of new footage at the end)
Katee Sackhoff is going to be the villain Blacksmith on The Flash. http://collider.com/the-flash-season-4-katee-sackhoff-blacksmith/
