2020? Remember when people said Ford was too old in KotCS? He'll be 12 years older this time around. Still, I'm sure I'll see it. Unless Shia LaBeouf has a substantial role in it. That's a deal breaker.
Didn't Ford make participation in Star Wars: The Force Awakens conditional upon a 5th Indiana Jones movie being made?
I actually kinda like KotCS, The fridge didn't bother me, the aliens/whatever didn't bother me. I liked Cate Blanchett as the villain. I thought Ford was still (narrowly) credible as an action hero. I mainly just hated Shia LeBouef.
The good news is that Shia isn't going to be in it. 4 Chan trolled the man so hard he went completely insane. He was arrested in Smyrna GA last month, everyone should check out the bodycam footage they released.
I doubt LaBeouf will be in this, given the way he's flown off the rails in the years since KotCS. And let's not forget, he publicly trashed the film in response to the negative reviews, which I'm sure didn't endear him to Spielberg. That said, I'm not sure how they can ignore Shia's existence, given that it's now official canon that Indy has a son with Marion. And I wish they'd realize that, as great as Ford has been in the role, I'd certainly be willing to give another actor a chance to win me over if they reboot the series. Why is this different from Bond?
Never a good sign when they throw the entire script out and start from scratch with a new writer. They're going to have to work hard to build any real anticipation for this film, given the tepid response to KotCS and Ford's increasingly geriatric status.
Dear god, why? Is anyone actually asking for an Indy 5? How about let a classic series rest in peace. Do an Uncharted movie or maybe a better Tomb Raider movie.
The Indy trilogy is based on 40's serials....and the 40's are over in that universe, Crystal Skullfuck was 50's It's been another 11 years, it'll be 60's now. Fucking Captain Kirk will be beaming down at Cape Canaveral by now, while fangirls chase the Beatles through alleyways.

You know what might be kinda cool? If they had a story that jumped between, say, 1938 and 1967, with Harrison Ford playing both old and young (read: digitally de-aged) Jones.
And it ends with a de-aged Harrison Ford with a burning 55 Chevy in the background, telling a de-aged Cindy Williams "And that was the weird dream I had last night, and the night before I dreamt a big walking dog was my best friend.".
