Sessions is desperately trying to save his own neck. He refused to answer questions asking if Trump asked him to hinder the Russia investigation. It is as clear as day that Trump did and Sessions is desperately trying to avoid getting his own ass hung out to dry.

Haha, Trump has gone into hiding and has cancelled a scheduled personal press briefing because he doesn't want to answer questions about Flynn's guilty plea or his testimony that Trump himself ordered him to collude with Russia and to trade sanctions being lifted in exchange for Russia interfering in American elections.

Politico does let some partisans write editorials but by and large they tend to be fact based and not partisan. I find them to be pretty good over all and thry often get scoops first wrt political stories.

It seems like Pence is also involved in this. He has previously testified that he knew nothing but now we know from Flynn that he did. We could have both Trump and Pence removed now though that would leave us with the Speaker of the House who is himself a turd.

Another interesting bit is that Mueller interviewed Jared just a week or two ago. So... If Flynn had already been cooperating then Mueller would know just which questions to ask him in order to catch him in a lie. I'd say Jared could be in deep doodoo.

I am pretty sure, as others have said, that in a year or two Republicans will once again pretend to care about the deficit and say that in order to tackle the deficit we need to gut social security and medicare.
