Wondering now if Manafort's decision to flip might have been informed by his expert perception as a political consultant that Trump's fortunes are fading. https://amp.businessinsider.com/pau...a-cooperation-legal-implications-trump-2018-9
Even Alan Derschewitz is basically admitting Trump is fucked. From here Mueller gets the good on DTJ and maybe other family members and the only way Trump avoids letting them go down for him is to resign. I still don't think the GOP senators will vote to remove but in every other way, he's well and truly fucked.
I wouldn't put it past Donnie Dumpster to sell out his own children in an attempt to save his own skin.
I don't think so. I think this is retaliation against the FBI for starting the investigation in the first place. Could potentially provide operational details to the Russian mob and/or GRU that really shouldn't get out.
Oh, there are plenty of reasons this stuff shouldn't be released. But the one thing Trump is after, proof of the deep state conspiracy against him, won't be there, and he's back at square one with no other "secret" documents to hold out hope. This is a hail mary pass, total desperation move.
He doesn't really think he'll prove any of his conspiracy theories, he just has to create chaos by shoving the idea of a conspiracy into his moron base. You can never disprove a conspiracy to morons. There are still birthers for fuck's sake.
http://nymag.com/daily/intelligence...sensitive-intel-at-sean-hannitys-request.html Trump ordered the declassification and release on Sean Hannity’s say-so. He hasn’t even read what he’s releasing. Just when you think the bar couldn’t go lower...
https://www.cbc.ca/news/world/nyt-trump-ag-taping-rosenstein-1.4833516 And now Trump has a half-decent excuse to fire Rosenstein.
Rosenstein is denying it completely. And while I can believe he’d talk about the 25th amendment, I can’t imagine he’d broach recording the White House. Something smells fishy.
Mueller's team is investigating former Obama White House counsel's connections to Manafort firm. https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...de1acc-bdac-11e8-8792-78719177250f_story.html
But wait, I thought it was all an anti-Trump witch hunt! It'll be fun to watch the Trumpsters twist and turn as they insist that the investigation is both valid and invalid at the same time...
Republicans are seizing upon that off hand joke about current events as being an excuse to fire Rosenstein and end the Mueller investigation. It is telling that they are so desperate to end in the investigation because they know Mueller has fat Donny by the balls.
^Yeah, that's why he's resigning. Does WF have *any* leftie thinkers that aren't complete partisan hacks regurgitating the garbage circulating in their leftie bubbles?
He wasn't resigning. He told the media that he had been summoned to the White House and that he expected to be fired. So it looks like we can add yet another obstruction of justice charge to Trump's list.
My bad. Read it on leftie (fake) news and posted it after the obligatory coin toss. Blame my coin toss, certainly not the garbage 'news' where I happened to read it (from Axios). Is a coin toss even the most reliable method any more? Probably not; better to just assume the "news" is garbage more often than not. Especially if source is times/wapo/cnn/ms13bc.
We're coming to the end game. I can't wait. Rosenstein has been abandoned by McCabe and company. Where do you think the info about wearing a wire came from? Remember McCabe said he'd take everyone down with him and McCabe is within a hairs breath of being indicted. I can not wait to see the whole farce blow up in everyone's face. Including the people on this board. Rosenstein is in a bad spot. Trump doesn't need to fire him. When everything goes public everyone will see Rosenstein for the fuck-up that he is.
So, anyways, Trump has pushed back his meeting with Rosenstein until thursday. No reason stated as why but I imagine his own staff are desperately trying to talk him out of firing Rosenstein and recreating the Saturday night massacre as that would not only greatly strengthen the coming obstruction of justice case but also make Republican chances in the upcoming midterms much worse. We know Trump is an impulsive idiot though so we shall see.
