Yes, but in all honesty they do it wrong, and they tried copying from faux news who did make an empire off of it. When you consider the intellectual superiority of dem opinion news over republican news like faux and the NY post who are just trash lies and bullshit the dem only presentation is a lot harder than just making shit up. When you want to talk fair and balanced there is a lot more right wing talking heads like morning Joe on dem only news. The irony of you being completely trapped in the faux news bubble and trump lies is not lost on most of us.
"When you consider the intellectual superiority of dem opinion news over republican news like faux and the NY post" - Tererun oh wait, on second thought Yeah it takes a lot of intellectual wherewithal to scream "fuck Trump!" 24/7. Granted CNN and other news outlets are "fair & balanced" in a sense because they also bring on guests and experts to scream "fuck Trump!" just to give their viewers differing perspectives.
They are much better than faux news and the post for giving facts and support for their ideas. Although I will admit I have not watched much MSNBC or CNN since mid Obama years so perhaps they have slipped. How much do you watch to know what I on them? just so we know.
I watch CNN now & then, same like Fox news. I watch CBS news because it happens to be on the same channel as local news so they are adjacent to me time-slot wise. I listen to NPR on the radio daily during my commute.
Where did this word even come from, and why is it okay to use it? I thought liberals were against using racist words.
Nope, he's pressing ahead. So let's see how many "national emergencies" we can come up with. School shootings? There go your guns. Cyber bullying? Better censor the internet. Wealth inequality? Might want to rethink this one, Trumpforge.
Is it anything other than a version of "fuck Trump?" If so, maybe I will check them out to see what their perspective is.
Racism is okay to the left as long as the target is white. Or if the target is a non-leftist person of color or a non-leftist LGBT or both.
If this is an actual emergency/crisis why didn't the Republican controlled government get it done when they had the chance? They had complete control for two years. That should have been priority one instead of their tax break for the rich. Maybe even congressional Republicans think its a dumb idea and a waste of money.
leftforge explained this to me as "punching up." If you are the underdog in any sense (racial minority, religious minority, a female, gay, etc ) everyone else is an oppressor, so they are "fair game" for derision. Whatever - they are entitled to their opinion.
why was Marso even in the washing machine to begin with? Is that one of those youtube charity "challenges" like dumping ice water on your head or something?
Do you enjoy making up lies about other people? It is so much easier than dealing with truth or facts, isn't it. Far less effort is involved so I can see why you enjoy it so much.
Donald Trump has declared a state of emergency in Water Closet One this morning after taking a particularly gnarly shit. Real tremendous shit, not many people can shit at this level.
So by all accounts, there's really no way to build this wall without the government exercising eminent domain against private property owners along the border. I'm actually surprised there aren't more libertarians (here and outside of Wordforge) up in arms about this (@Federal Farmer being the notable exception). Trump has concocted a national emergency to bypass the legislature and judiciary to take private property from people. Isn't that the libertarian worst case scenario?
Those for whom this is a real issue and not a libertarian talking point (i.e., those who have property along the border) are fighting back: http://www.newser.com/article/bc82c...wners-dig-in-to-fight-trumps-border-wall.html
I hope Republicans remember this when a Democratic President uses it for healthcare or something else they don’t like.
One of my RL friends who is a big Trumpanzee had his family’s property eminent-domained by a utility company nearly twenty years ago. They and their neighbors fought it as long as they could, but lost and today we hunt doves under those utility towers. When I pointed out that landowners along the border will be fucked over in the same way for an even worse reason (unlike the border fence, the power lines do actually benefit some people) he ignored my point and changed the subject.
Im all for it. Good move by President Trump. Now the government can re-open and this will be tied up in courts for years.
I don't think it's an inherently bad thing, because there are extreme situations in which it may be called for, especially because it requires the individual losing his/her property to be justly compensated. I do think it is an incredibly overused power at both the federal and state level, and needs to be reigned in.
We went over this during the Bush years when they wanted to put up a fence. Do we really have to exclaim it again?
