Aha! Been trying to find this pic since the thread started. Dad's 1964 Econoline, converted to a... well, "camper" is being generous. He built a working fireplace onto the back door using air conditioning duct metal. Inside was an army cot and a portable chemical toilet. Spot light on top, and I think that was a sconce behind the door! KET-0327 was his CB radio license number.

My father had serious plans drawn up for doing that to his 1957 Ford station wagon. He was going to chop the rear body off and build a camper body. built a balsa model of the camper that went on a plastic car model. Dang, I'd forgotten till I saw that pic.

That's pretty cool! In a town not far from where I live there's an annual classic car show that draws a few thousand entries yearly. Canceled for this year, of course, but it's fun to kind of just wander around for several hours, interesting stuff but the Edsel up there was definitely unusual. A few years back Butch Patrick (Eddie Munster) was there with replicas of the Munstermobile and Dragula, so that was neat. The one time I didn't bring my camera along...
Technically those are grills and one is a trailer, and the last is an airboat with skis for snow (but no propeller) and doesn't seem to be modified other than the skis (probably a nordic rescue vehicle). Yes they all have wheels, but none are shitty. Please do better. Also:
