Yeah, you caught me jumping the gun on one story and now that means you're smarter than me forever. Well fucking done. Slow clap. Nope. You're still a fucking idiot. Countless posts to that effect. I'll take my right/wrong ratio over yours any day. We hear "guns protect us from the gub'mint!" from twats HERE. Fortunately, I live in a nation that shakes its head at the notion guns make you free. It doesn't mean I'm actually free-er (gub'mint gonna grab), but I don't have to live in fear of walking to the fucking shops like some of y'all.
so would your witty comment be "bothsidesism" or "whataboutism"? Regardless was Gutfeld released without bond? He's on the air just like nothing happened. Oh that's right, nothing did. But no doubt if he said anything bad he wasn't arrested because he's white. If he was black he'd be shot by armed security according to Matt Hunter and others. Libs are fucking hilarious.
Nah, FOX knows it needs some diversity. White folk don't have a monopoly on stupidity, that really would be taking exceptionalism too far.
"but I don't have to live in fear of walking to the fucking shops like some of y'all." - Matthunter people are afraid of what they want to be afraid of - much like hypnotism, you can't force fear on those who don't accept it. Life is full of dangers of every sort no matter where you live - take precautions as best you can and learn to deal with them or hide under your covers, it's your personal choice.
We've had a Republican Governor, Republican Lieutenant Governor, Republican supermajorities in both the State Senate and State House, Republican control of every seat of the State Supreme Court, Republican control of every seat on the State Board of Education, and Republican control of every seat on the State Public Service Commission for over a decade. Surely we must be the pinnacle of the Conservative ideals regarding free markets, of prosperity, and hope; that shining beacon for all other states to admire and emulate. Oh, wait...
So your state is the Republican version of what Democrat controlled cities go through year after year? All that power and control but the place is still a shithole - I see how that might be frustrating.
Charlotte isn't a shithole, but that's the only Democrat controlled city I can speak directly of, on the other hand, I haven't heard anyone complaining about any other of the bigger cities in North Carolina, which are almost all democrat controlled.
No, you see, all cities are smoldering ruins ever since they got torched by BLM and Antifa. A bunch of people who don't live in them told me so.
Same with Augusta (but on a smaller scale than Charlotte of course). But many of the Democrat controlled cities in other regions are holy mother of god shitholes. I think it boils down to what the average citizens are willing to put up with from their local governments.
Oh. So it's just some "Democrat controlled cities". Not "Democrat controlled cities". Too bad we can't compare them to Republican controlled cities since there aren't any.
There are no such things as "Democrat controlled cities." There are American cities controlled by Americans, according to American laws. The end.
Huntsville, Alabama has had negative unemployment numbers, meaning there are more jobs than people to fill those jobs, for almost ten years. The City and County governments, along with the Chambers of Commerce are begging people to move there. So, yeah, curse those dastardly Democrats. Birmingham is an island of blue-ish purple in a sea of red. But, the City successfully pulled off a nearly miraculous transformation from steel and heavy industry in the 1970's to high-tech and bio-med research. 95% of all cancer drugs approved by the FDA since 1990 started at Southern Research Institute in Birmingham, Alabama. Again, curse those Democrats! Meanwhile, the solidly Republican State Capitol of Montgomery has languished in despair for the better part of 50 years. If it weren't for the apparatus of State, there would be no reason for the City to exist. I don't know one State employee or Elected/Appointed individual that actually lives in Montgomery. They all live in surrounding cities and they commute in. In your own State, Atlanta has transformed itself from being a Regional city into a National, and in some aspects, International player. I choose not to live in a metropolitan area. That's my choice and I understand and accept the pro's and con's of that choice. I understand others, like you, making that same choice. But, the truth is that you've been told a lie about how "Democrat controlled" cities are hell-holes when they're not. The truth is that the Cities in the United States that are prospering and growing are, generally, Democrat-led. The same truth is that Cities that are stagnant, or declining, are generally Republican-led. Yes, there are exceptions to that, but you haven't bothered to actually verify the lies you've been told. You choose to wallow in ignorance, so I'm happy to oblige your choice.

yes that is true - some Democrat controlled cities have consistently corrupt, inept leadership/management but not all. And there aren't too many Republican controlled cities that I can think of - I will google it though. HOWEVER quite often the suburbs making up a large percentage of the Democrat controlled city are often Republican controlled. Is "white flight" a factor? I'm sure it is in some cities. Again using Augusta as an example if only because I've lived here for many years thus I have boots-on-the-ground experience Augusta/Richmond County is majority black (but pretty close to 50/50 demographically) and under black leadership to include law enforcement. It has the typical black-on-black nearly daily gun violence/homicide but not in great numbers compared to some cities. No widespread ineptitude or corruption or civil unrest so I would not say it's a shithole or "dangerous" IMHO. But would the citizens of Augusta throw the bums out if the citizens started to see the city tanking or going in the wrong direction? I think that they would anyway, but things can change pretty fast. Columbia County (adjacent to Augusta) is under firmly Republican control and is about 20 percent black and the rest of the population being mostly white and hispanic. But elections are certainly not a Republican blowout at any level. Columbia County is rapidly growing and a lot of the new arrivals are bringing blue state voting patterns with them - pretty much what happens in the Atlanta suburbs. My google search was a success - this is pretty interesting: Party affiliation of the mayors of the 100 largest cities - Ballotpedia
He doesn’t actually know who’s on Fox News, he just goes by what he’s told like the good lemming that he is.
That's more than I thought. So what you're saying is that places like Stockton and San Bernardino can't be shitholes even though they have more violent crime than Chicago?
They very well might be. I guess if you examined all the data (crime, cost of living, unemployment, etc) of the cities on the list on an apples-to-apples basis you could find out which cities are shitholes and whether they are led by a Democrat, Republican or independent mayor. That said the mayor isn't the entire leadership package, but it works as a general standard for comparison's sake. Then again leadership/management doesn't solve all the problems nor cause them. I'm thinking if you waved a magic wand and suddenly Chicago had all Republican leadership in every position they would still have hundreds of homicides annually. Violent criminals don't give a shit about their community or who's in charge or anything of long term importance.
I disagree on the last sentence at least. If violent criminals are unconcerned by their environment why is it we do not see an even distribution of violence?
Ok. A) *You* always bring up Chicago and crime when discussing political leadership. B) If political leadership has nothing to do with crime in Chicago, what do *you* think is the reason for crime in Chicago?
That's because he's brainwashed by partisan bullshit. Chicago doesn't have the highest crime rates in America, depending on the type of crime isn't not even in the top 10. But FOX News has told him what to worry about, and he'll be damned if he's going to let facts get in the way of that.
In order to solve this @oldfella1962 needs to show us on the doll where chicago touched him. You can do it OF cover Henry winkler with bees.
