damn... memories of army cadet years, right there. if that Browning model is anything like the Canadian Arsenals version, full auto capability is actually built into the design and it's only a matter of unblocking the selector (which is why it became a "prohibited" gun here around the early 80s whereas it was previously "restricted")
Removing the magazine would do more to lessen gun deaths. I'm not sure why they call it a "pistol grip" anyway since it's clearly substituting for something else you want to be gripping.
In theory, you could cut someone with your wit. In practice, you'd struggle to define it as a blunt instrument. It'd be like being hit with a stick made of that green goop they sell to kids as ectoplasm.
It would tend to decrease rate of fire and increase reload time, especially for untrained or inexperienced users, thereby making it at least marginally less effective as a tool of mass murder.
