What "screechbags"? Caturd and his peers who insist they are/were being "shadowbanned" and are religiously convinced Twitter has/had an anti-conservative bias?

That was ALWAYS horseshit. External and internal analysis demonstrated a clear and considerable PRO-conservative bias (and even more so at Facebook and they think they are oppressed there too).

IF in point of fact the algorithm, the metrics, or the stated official policies inside Twitter were demonstrably set to suppress conservative speech then the billionaire dude who's high on his own supply and drunk on reactionary extremism could simply publish his newly bought evidence for all the world to see.

WHY HASN'T HE?

Because it doesn't and never has existed. Having some half-assed, lightly enforced, published terms of service that say "don't be an utterly shit user" is not anti-conservative, it's anti-shithead...and if it FEELS anti-conservative that's because you, Mr. Conservative, are apparently a profound shithead.

I mean, fuck, "Libs of Tic--Tok" was literally inciting bomb threats against children's hospitals, putting at risk every patient there, and Twitter never had the stones to permaban her.

The reason Gab and TS and the rest will never be more than echo chambers is that these people get no joy from sitting in a circle telling each other how correct that their ideas are - they NEED emotionally to have someone to fuck with, so no matter where the progressive or even moderate folks go, they MUST follow because that is (to their mind) a "target rich environment" and the only way such a place can function - and to be clear, pre-Elon Twitter largely DID function despite the lack of serious consistent enforcement against targeted harassment - is if the ownership and management correctly identifies the nature of that problem and has policies in place to limit the abusiveness.
They can - and do, always have - say almost any ridiculous right wing bullshit they want, with just a few exceptions (holocaust denial for example) they just need, and imperfectly had, some guardrails against direct target harassment.

And please, you professional victims, don't be slinging "but both sides do it" - no, they do not. There's no left wing version of Matt Walsh or Chaya or any of a thousand anonymous Nazis on Twitter. I've never seen anyone provide an example of the left targeting an individual with no power or status (like some random teacher, say the one in England who literally killed herself because of the abuse) in the same way the right does. Sure, they may dogpile JKR regularly, but (a) she's a billionaire, and (b) all her TERF minions do far worse abuse to trans people and anyone who speaks up in our defense, whether or not Joanne gets angry tweets.

It's NEVER been "both sides" because the progressive folks simply don't think the way reactionaries do.

I could understand this sort of demand if it were a really cool long anticipated game coming out that everyone loves, but this is fucking twitter, he is acting like it is cool or relevant.

Yeah if there’s one thing Trump wants more than an audience, it’s money. And him being on Twitter is bad for business right now. I’m sure though, that if TS goes the way of Trump U, he’ll be back in a heartbeat.
