Whoops. Turns out the dashcam video exonerates the police officer.

The guy was pulled over for a traffic stop (doing 100 mph) and immediately started threatening the officer. The officer finally tasered him, to no avail, and the guy just rushed him. He got a pretty good hold on the officer's neck and yelled "Yeah bitch!" while the officer tried to subdue him with a night stick. Looks like the guy was just about to snap the officer's neck before the officer fired one round from his sidearm. So, the officer tried two non-lethal methods to subdue the guy before he was left with little choice.

I'd post the dashcam video but it's age-restricted.

Anyway, this was a clear case of Fuck Around and Find Out. Can't blame the officer one bit.

That is a pretty incredible one-sided story.

Not saying Jackson Police don't have a lot to answer for, but some of the comments from the coroner's office investigator make me wonder if there isn't a lot more to the story.

Someoine needs to fire every officer who knew about this and allowee it to happen, even the complicit ones, and they need to arrest and fire that principle immediately. That is a big bully karen in a little fucking pond and the outside needs to clean up that corruption and make an example of that woman and any people who worked with her.
