Hillary is all on board with letting in all the Syrian "refugees". Huma, it should be noted, is high in the Muslim Brotherhood. Her parents hold leadership positions in it. They created and inspired the terrorists we're trying to keep out.

Actually, Jefferson and Madison were in contact the whole time and he gave Madison his thoughts on the Constitution. He also was amongst the many that were concerned that it didn't have a bill of rights. Indeed, Carson is right that Jefferson had his hand on the pulse of the people while still in France. It very well could be argued that by influencing Madison, who saw Jefferson a mentor, he did help craft the Constitution.

The Daily Beast is a joke that should stick to printing retractions of previous Daily Beast stories.

Yeah that's about as likely as Hillary dropping out due to demands from Rush Limbaugh.

Republican Party Insiders Nervous Trump will Sabotage Downstream Races

The article also points out that Trump is now back to saying he'll run as an independent if he doesn't gain the nomination. Christmas comes early to the Clinton campaign?

Of course Clinton leads in Iowa Unless the FBI indicts her for something there is no possible way Hillary Clinton doesn't win the Democratic nomination. Half the Democratic primary voters would probably vote for her out of guilt for throwing her overboard to nominate Barack Obama 8 years ago.

Would you mind explaining the logic behind this statement?

This democratic voter would proudly nominate Obama again in light of his performance over the past 8 years. Yes, I'm disappointed he didn't do more, but I think Clinton will be more in thrall to corporate interests.

Right wing zealots like Dayton actually believe that nobody likes Obama and that he is only President due to affirmative action. And they believe this because they can't fathom that a large number of white voters would have voted for a black man for any other reason.

The polls in Iowa and elsewhere are only polling people that are already registered (still have a year before the election) and people who are willing to talk to pollsters.

All one has to do is open their eyes and ears to know, when it comes time to vote, Bernie will win overwhelmingly.

The Iowa Caucus is in a month, not a year. And baring some significant shakeup Hillary will win by a landslide.

I meant the Presidential election. Not everyone is registered to vote yet. I know many 17 year olds who are waiting for their birthday so they can register.

by what standard do you call me a right wing zealot?

And I do understand that in 2008 millions of American voters freaked out about the economy and liked the idea of pulling out of Iraq (no matter how stupid that was).

Meanwhile, last week the Trumpster claimed 100 black pastors would be declaring their support for him at a meeting today.

Over the weekend, one of the pastors, acting as spokesperson for the others, announced that, while they would accept the invitation to attend, this did not constitute an endorsement for the Trump candidacy.

This morning, the Trumpster cancelled the meeting.

Geez what a tool. Between this and his nasty impression of the journalist with a condition I don't see how this guy stays on top. Then again I thought he would drop after his ugly remarks towards Meghan Kelly and Carly Fiorina so what do I know?

You are ignoring the asshole factor. A significant proportion of Americans are assholes, many of them vote in Republican primaries. And let's be honest, he is just a more extreme, more abrasive version of most of the other people running. Is he really saying anything all that different from Ted Cruz or Marco Rubio?

As someone who has actually listened to all the above speak yes. Trump has nothing deeper than canned talking points and if you press him for any actual details he gets pissed and attacks the journalist. Rubio gives very detailed responses to any question or issue posed to him and never loses his cool. I live in Florida and have met Rubio many times. Trump isn't even close to being in his league.

I didn't say Trump had the same depth. He swims on the surface, but he is using many of the same talking points, just adding in division and derision, and people love it. They love it not for the policies he mimics, but because they are assholes just like Trump and want an asshole-in-chief.

Somewhat more complicated than that. The way many in the GOP see it is that they went all out in 2010 and 2014 to give the GOP control of both houses of Congress (and a whole bunch of governorships).

But despite those electoral victories the GOP establishment have been remarkably ineffective in opposing President Obama.

They forget that for all the disappointments mainstream Democrats have with Barack Obama, the Democrats in Congress have pretty much been committed to protecting the president at all costs. Even at the costs of their own careers.
