Well, the charitable answer is that Haley thinks America has moved on. But as she also states, she was "different" because she was Indian, so not "black" or "white". What she SHOULD ask is "do black/white divisions still exist and why?" but SHE got to a point where she can stand for President, so in her mind they don't. Whereas Obama WAS President and he absolutely knew that didn't erase all the other racism.

Trump sure as shit isn't picking Pence as his VP again, so that's the job they're really running for.

That might make sense with a normal frontrunner who is a reasonably well-adjusted human being, but Trump is a megalomaniac with paper-thin skin who thinks the presidency is something he's entitled to. He's going to view running against him as "disloyal." He might try to make them grovel for the vice presidency just to puff up his ego, but I can't see him actually picking a former opponent.

Here's how it works: You run, you talk about how amazing Trump was, you poll well, then when Trump announces his own candidacy you make a big show of stepping aside because you love him so much and you'd never challenge him, and then you wait by the phone and hope that he sees your polling numbers and decides you'd give his campaign a boost by having you as VP.

Yeah, but it's hard to do that when he was the first one to announce.
