    It would appear a new challenge has been thrown down.

    Let's see...right off the bat (:D), I notice that the middle digit is always less than 4...the first digits is in the range (1..6)...the last digit in the range (0..8).

    Could these be times? Like on a clock? :chris:

    And why is this in the Red Room?

    That's weird, I got those numbers in a rep.

    I'm retarded with numbers, I shrugged it off like a bunch of Japanese squigglys.

    Knowing Batboy's penchant for choosing readily accessible decoding devices, let's assume the numbers are times and that they form the basis of some kind of code based on clockwork.

    Okay, if we divide the clock up into quarter hours...we need a little more than 6 hours (6 hours * 4 quarters/hour = 24 quarters, need 26 to correspond to each letter)...if these are times, they go from about 1:00 to 6:38. Hmmm.

    Well, let's see. Anything from 1:00 to 1:14 would be 'A', anything from 1:15 to 1:29 would be 'B' and so on...

    3 1:30 - 1:44 C
    4 1:45 - 1:59 D
    5 2:00 - 2:14 E
    6 2:15 - 2:29 F
    7 2:30 - 2:44 G
    8 2:45 - 2:59 H
    9 3:00 - 3:14 I
    10 3:15 - 3:29 J
    11 3:30 - 3:44 K
    12 3:45 - 3:59 L
    13 4:00 - 4:14 M
    14 4:15 - 4:29 N
    15 4:30 - 4:44 O
    16 4:45 - 4:59 P
    17 5:00 - 5:14 Q
    18 5:15 - 5:29 R
    19 5:30 - 5:44 S
    20 5:45 - 5:59 T
    21 6:00 - 6:14 U
    22 6:15 - 6:29 V
    23 6:30 - 6:44 W
    24 6:45 - 6:59 X
    25 7:00 - 7:14 Y
    26 7:15 - 7:29 Z

    Let's see how that fits:

    314 - 536 - 638 - 533 - 422 - 106 - 433 - 434 - 515 - 630 - 124 - 315

    I S W S N A O O R W B J

    Hmmm. Doesn't look like a promising beginning, does it?

    It's a mathematical equation:

    314 - 536 - 638 - 533 - 422 - 106 - 433 - 434 - 515 - 630 - 124 - 315

    = -4372

    Take away the minus sign, and we have the number 4372; each individual number corrosponding to a letter of the alphabet in the form of an anachronym.

    4 = D
    3 = C
    7 = G
    2 = B

    DCGB

    Which can only mean "Da Cock Gobbler (is) Batboy!"

    You may now bow to my awesome powers of deduction. :ramen:

    314 - 536 - 638 - 533 - 422 - 106 - 433 - 434 - 515 - 630 - 124 - 315?

    I have no idea what that means, but it goes without saying that 447 - 231 - 711 - 918 - 842 - 316 - 552.

    Batboy must apologize for Batboy's typo. Batboy was munching on some tasty millipedes when Batboy typed Batboy's message. Batboy's original message should read:

    314 - 536 - 638 - 533 - 422 - 106 - 433 - 434 - 917- 515 - 630 - 124 - 315

    314 - 536 - 638 - 533 - 422 - 106 - 433 - 434 - 515 - 630 - 124 - 315

    There's a parallel of sorts working from the outside in:

    314 - 315
    536 - 124
    638 - 630
    533 - 515
    422 - 434
    106 - 433

    Not perfect, but there' a pattern of some sort, suggesting a sequence.

    First line in the 300s, second with a wide differential, third in the 600s, fourth in the 500s, fifth in the 400s, sixth with a wide differential.

    I recognized the 314 as an area code, so I thought the rest might be area codes, but alas... :(

    422 -
    106 -

    All traditional area codes, prior to the new ones they added a few years ago, have a 1 or 0 as the middle number.

    Batboy put the number code in a pos rep for me in the college football thread, in a post where I questioned the manhood of pigskin followers in Alabama.

    Obviously the answer has something to do with the fact that Alabama/Auburn football is for poofs and pillow-biters.

    I've come to the conclusion that it's the Godel number of an undecidable proposition in Batboyian arithmetic with exponentiation. :shrug:
