I've criticized things about ST 2009 and what I've heard about this movie and no one has made fun of me or attacked me for it. Maybe it's the way you go about it that irritates people?
Oh, there is. But the idea there are "objectively" bad movies I think is bullshit. For every movie I think sucks, there are 3 others who love it. And to those people it's a good movie, no matter how much you try to force your opinion on them. And in the end that is all that matters. You can believe it's "objectively" bad all day long but you will never change someone else's mind who loves it, so why bother? Why keep up with the fool's errand?
Personal like or dislike isn't the basis used for the objective analysis of a film - the two are different. And I'm not forcing my opinion on anyone, I'm simply pointing out that Abrams Trek is a bad movie, objectively speaking.
"Luv this thread. LUV IT! Love me. Hate me. Whatever dudes! It'$ all the $ame to me at this point. Keep stroking my ego & narcissism. That is all! PS: I luv you guys ... and gals!"
I'd like to point out that Mr. Phaser Beam is just as fucking annoying as his previous persona, Aquehongamongoloid or whatever the hell he was called.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!1! Star Trek Into Darkness just passed $100-million domestically and is on track to be the second-highest grossing Trek movie of all time (even adjusted for inflation)! It's also tracking 87% "fresh" at rottentomatoes. Suck it, you fucking fuckballs! arty: :dildo:
[action=We Are Borg]awaits the inevitable whiners to show up and say "but maaaaa... box office doesn't mean it's any goooood" [/action]
According to the Wikipedia entry, Paramount has been disappointed with the movies box office performance. And remember, actual box office is nowhere nearly as important as the ratio of box office to production and marketing costs.
And yet you hate the LotR movies, and they also made a ton of money and were critically acclaimed. Guess that doesn't matter with you, either.
This is a thread about how much STID kicks ass. We can start a different one about how LOTR sucks donkey balls, though.
There's no hypocrisy. STID objectively kicks ass, LOTR objectively sucked donkey balls. It couldn't be more clear.
No such thing. You simply keep referring to me by that name. That does not mean that is my name. If I call you cocksucker instead of gul for an extended period of time, sooner or later you're going to answer to it. In your case, sooner.
