Oh, I can see why people would want to. Hell, I want to. It's just if you're going to do it, don't expect the DA to let you off because it was a Nazi you punched.

I totally agree if this is 1940's Germany. But in 2017 Virginia a Jew just can't "respond with force" upon spotting a Nazi legally carrying a weapon. So until someone invents a time machine and goes back to 1940's Germany, Nazis will just have to be lumped in with everyone else people consider evil.

got it - but wearing Nazi clothing at a public rally is not demonstrating a "clear intention to kill."

it's a hard concept for some people to grasp! I guess if you find yourself on the horns of a punching dilemma, ask yourself one question: "do I want to go to jail or stay out of jail?"
Call me crazy, but I tend to choose stay out of jail every-single-time. Go figure!

I think that's the center of the issue, for me at least. I despise National Socialism and all it stands for. However, I love freedom of thought, freedom of association, and freedom of speech more than I hate Nazi's.

I don't know how many of you have actually witnessed a Nazi rally. They don't just wave flags. Anyway, the ACLU let them march through Skokie with a heavy police presence (your tax dollars at work) and they were sweet little lambs. Punching them may not be the answer, but by defending them, how are you not defending their philosophy? :mystery:

I'm frankly a little shocked that some of RightForge have abandoned the teachings of Chuck Norris:

Fun tip: Not everyone getting their Nazi-punch on in that clip is a cop.

Did you fail to notice the gun pointed at someone? An imminent threat of precisely the sort at which everyone agrees it's perfectly permissible for anyone to use force to prevent that threat from being carried out.

What do you mean by "defending them", and who's doing it? Seriously...would you name names? Am I defending them by saying that punching someone because they're holding a Nazi flag doesn't legally count as self defense?

That entire episode features property damage and physical attacks on civilians. And FYI the Nazis at Charlottesville DID throw fuel and beat protestors with their torches.

@Zombie's message sure seems to be "Leave the alt-Right Alone!" :sob:

Then again, he's not noted for subtlety, so maybe he actually means something entirely different.

You would think that everyone agrees with that, but @Zombie and some others seem to believe that there is a specific provision in American law that demands you to wait for the other guy to physically hurt you first if and only if they are carrying a swastika.

No, obviously they don't truly believe that; they are just willing to tie themselves up in knots to defend Nazis as soon as they see a leftwinger ready to punch in self-defense the same person they would like to shoot and kill dead.

This is the heart of the matter. When the rally is an armed march, given the meaning of Nazi regalia, yes, it is. You can expect any Nazi in that situation to attack a member of a minority on sight.

Once again you stupid fuck of a human being......

Carrying a flag, chanting stupid shit in the street and even open carrying a gun while doing both does not raise to the level of threat where one would be justified in using force and claiming self defense.

I oppose this troll's right to post with the monicker of "Dayton"; he should be forced to go back to "NotDayton" or some other version that makes it clear his is a parody account.

I've never watched W:TR, so I'm just going by what you posted. Don't post a clip that supports exactly the opposite thing you're trying to say if you want to convince anyone.

As for the Charlottesville bit, if that's true (and this is the first I've heard of that) I have no problem with punching -- or shooting -- the ones that are doing so. But only those.

While the famous movie "Schindler's List" IIRC portrays Oskar Schindler as being "won over" largely by his Jewish factory manager (Ben Kingsley) from what I've read, the real Oskar Schindler was apparently "anti genocide" from the beginning.

Do you want me to add in the Nazi official who saved the lives of thousands of Chinese from the Japanese during the Rape of Nanking?

Several, but why are we having an 'other than the murderer --' caveat on discussing whether or not they committed violence in the first place?

He's probably thinking of the fights that broke out in several places.

Of course he totally ignores that in all cases that because the police failed to keep the two groups separate you had idiots on both sides running their mouths until one or more got the courage to toss a punch.

That's why I said Deandre Harris should be arrested along with the Nazis. In that fight where he got hit in the head it was him and his buddy with the bat who started the fight. It's on tape. They attacked first.

Nope, got your own video right here.
If by "started the fight", he yelled at Nazis, by your own standard, that's no reason to get beaten.
A standard the meat-head narrator of your video doesn't seem to stick to, by the way.

You miss the part where the guy in the pink shirt started swinging a bat at the Nazi scum?

You miss the part where the guy in the pink shirt is the one who, by accident, knocked Deandre Harris to the ground?

You miss the part where the counter-protesters where beating on some Nazi during the fight?

Arrest the Nazis involved in the fight.

Also arrest those who started the fight. Which wasn't the Nazi scum in this case.

    Was pink shirt guy Deandre?
    No?
    Okay then.

    And?
Are you arguing for guilt by association?
Your drunken buddy starts swinging, I gotta lock you up?
    Okay, thanks for that tidbit.

Everyone was involved in the fight. So yes. Arrest everyone.

"Are you arguing for guilt by association?"

No different than saying that all the Nazi's are guilty of murder because of one Nazi in the car killing that girl.
