    From here

And we're supposed to feel sorry for these people, weep when the Israelis break out the Bulldozer of Awesomeness to knock down some shacks, get angry when the Israelis finally respond to constant terrorist attacks?

Screw those savages, if they think that killing kids is an acceptable way to further their war against teh evil Jooz then they deserve whatever the IDF will throw at them.

And you don't think it's okay to kill a few Muslim teens in the course of the "war on terror?"

Provided other Muslim adults don't convince them to strap some C4 to their chest.

I love the logic you are demonstrating here.

Basically, the fact that Israels actions are increasing support for militants among Palestinians means that they are doing the right thing?

If they've taken up arms against us than yes, but I'm not down with purposely attacking civilians especially children.

Actually Palestinian public opinion means shit to me, they elected the fuckers that are shooting rockets at Israeli towns so why in the fuck should I or Israel be troubled if Israel's response to a series of bloody attacks pisses these "peace loving" people off?

The Israelis are defending themselves, so yes, they're doing the right thing.

No, it isn't. And the Israelis have excercised FAR more than reasonable restraint.

    Truly they have.

I personally would have driven every Palestinian out of Gaza and the West Bank into neighboring countries and would shoot anyone trying to get back in.

The Palestinians are free (maybe I should say "free") to choose their leaders and they chose Hamas. Seems to be perfectly consistent with the attitudes the indoctrination they're giving their children. The Palestinians are a hateful, barbaric bunch, the lot of them.

I think the War on Terror will get really interesting when an entire generation of Palestinians raised on nothing but hate and lacking any means of self-criticism whatsoever comes of age, looks around at the shithole of a world it lives in--which their leaders unremitting hatred and barbarism created--and then turns to fighting the eternal scapegoat, Israel, and its enabler, the U.S.

    Scum.

I'm sure some Palestinians would tell you that about the Jews. Mind you, that's because they're ignorant. :bergman:
Do you have a plan to counter this brainwashing? Or is it cheaper and easier to wait until these kids grow up, and kill them in battle?
The parents? Yes. The children? No. I doubt anyone will agree with me, but they're as much victims as anyone else.

The Palestinian refugees as they exist now are solely the creation of the Arab nations, it is therefore their responsibility to come up with a better plan than sending these children to be killed.

Why, after so many efforts have been made to resolve the issue peacefully, only to have those efforts thwarted by the Palestinians themselves?

You're right. If a problem hasn't already been solved, it's not longer worth working on.

The Irish should probably give up working for peace too. It's just not in the cards.

The Irish problems came when the IRA and other groups figured out it was on them to act in good faith.

It's up to the Palestinians to come to the same epiphany and restrain themselves.

    Well yeah.......

You haven't seen what Palestinian kids are taught or watch on TV these days?

It's exactly that: Jews are the uber-evil that must be killed at all costs. So says Allah.

When your taught that from day one you tend to grow up believing it.

You can make claims that Israel is "mean" but it's a 100% guarantee that if the Palestinians stopped attacking Israel they would be left alone in peace. Israel isn't the one picking the fights unless your gonna claim that Israel secretly launches rockets into its own interior and secretly funds suicide bombings against its own people.

It would be cheaper to kill them now as kids. :ramen:

Seeing as they know no better yeah. When older? No longer victims.

It's harder to open a dialogue with a people if you believe all of them are hateful barbarians. Did you learn nothing from Star Trek VI?

We have seen a lot of people today denouncing comments Obama made in his speech about how a lot of the present situation of black Americans is due to past American laws/policies. The argument being that at some point enough time has passed they can no longer be held responsible.

So at what point do other surrounding nations stop being responsible for the Palestinians?

You're not interested in opening a dialogue if the Palestinians actually act in good faith? :soma:

Opening dialogues haven't been the major problem. Many dialogues have been opened in the last 15 years from Oslo to the Arab Peace Initiative. None of them has come to fruition however.

    Why not?

Beartm suggested it's because the Palestinians weren't acting in good faith. I can agree with that.

Do you have a different explanation?
