Florida bill proposes requiring bathrooms to have enough toilet paper, dammit! This is a problem that needs to be wiped out! Proposed Law Looks to Wipe Out Problem TALLAHASSEE (CBS4.com) ― A proposed law currently making its way through the Florida legislature might help you with what can be an embarrassing problem. Here's the bottom line, the bill would be a mandate that all eating establishment must have enough toilet paper when you go into the restroom. The only problem is the bill doesn't dictate how much toilet paper is "enough." State Senator Victor Crist, a Republican from Tampa, felt the problem was so important, a law must be passed to protect the backsides of anyone in Florida. The measure will also try to regulate the cleanliness of restrooms in eating establishments. Crist, says in the bill, restaurant inspectors, "should also check the restrooms along with the kitchens to make sure that basic cleanliness necessities are in place." The Senate Regulated Industries Committee approved the bill, SB 836, on Monday. It has two more stops to go and as long as it's not wiped out before then, it could then go to the Senate floor. A similar measure is currently awaiting passage by the House. (© 2008 CBS Broadcasting Inc. All Rights Reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten, or redistributed. Where is this not done? The first place our health inspectors stop before announcing themselves is the bathroom. I don't know if they fine for lack of TP, but they do check the cleanliness. In fact, it used to drive a friend of mine crazy. He owned a deli and the most he could make on his health rating was a 90 out of 100 possible points. The building he was in had one shared bathroom facility (10 stalls) for all of the tenants and the customer's to use. They were not under his control and were maintained by the building management people. Same thing with the dumpster. The building shared one communal dumpster. He always lost five points for "his" bathroom and another five for "his" dumpster not being just right.
Victor Crist is an idiot to begin with. Yeah I believe this is already covered under health inspections.
Fact: I've been to 48 of the 50 states. Opinion: Florida, on average, had the cleanest and most ADA accessible public bathrooms of any state in the nation.
Am I the only one that looks for toilet paper first before using the bathroom? And Elwood it really depends on where you are. I've seen some bathrooms that even the roaches picket outside complaining about the filth.
Sometimes you're in too much of a hurry to hit the seat to look. Which is usually just the time you find out there's no TP!
When I'm traveling, I usually have some with me, because you never know. When I'm in Madagascar, I always have some with me...
Baby wipes are awesome! Did I just say that. No but seriously if it's good for a baby's ass to clean then it will work for the adult. I just don't like carrying around baby wipes without the baby in tow. People will think it weird.
Now you know why you only see Elwood posting recordings of him speaking. A recording of Async would be a dead giveaway.
A few days ago, my family ate at a Wendy's in Sturbridge, Massachusetts. My youngest boy "had to do a stinky" so I took him to the men's room but there was no toilet paper. I had to have my wife get some out of the women's room. Obviously, such a law is greatly needed in Massachusetts as well!
